My issue is I felt like it was a shakedown. I took the Angi price of 200 for the job. They said with a discount it was 163. I received a text asking for pictures. I sent them. The contractor did not show or respond to calls. I called Angi and they scheduled another contractor for the same day. When they did not show again I called and I got a call back. The contractor said he was on the way but was told by Angi it was a faucet repair not a toilet seal. He told me he needed another 60 dollars. When I told him I would cancel he said I can do this BUT Angi will still take their money. I called Angi and the woman I spoke to confirmed that if I cancelled the job Angi would still take the 163 dollars. I explained their contractor refused to do the work for the contracted price and it all seemed sketchy. She agreed but offered no other solution. I paid the extra 60 dollar just to be done with it. Angi is the absolute worst company I have ever worked with. The work was done well. I do not have an issue with the actual work. I have a serious problem with the sketchy business model that extorts money in excess of the quote. Exercise extreme caution!
