Pro Cut Lawn Care & Landscape

They were great. They were on time for the appointment. Another company charged me $99 for an estimate, which was $2000. This company didn't charge for the estimate and was able to do what I wanted for about $300. I was pleased with the outcome of their work. It looks great.

I had been using Pro Cut Lawn Care and Landscape since September 2001 until last November of 2011.  At first the weekly mowing I got was nice in the following years.  They even called to let me know that I needed shrubs trimmed, etc.  I got my lawn fertilized on a regular basis.  Everything was going good and I was a loyal customer.

However, I noticed a decline in the last 3 years (2009 - 2011) .  The workers knocked down a part of my fence.  They never contacted me about it when it happened.  I contacted them and then they admitted it.  They offered to pay for the repair at that point but I went ahead and took care of it out of my pocket.  They did apologize and I still remained a loyal customer because this was the only issue I had with them up to that point. During the summer months they would mow weekly even though the grass was not growing.  Several times they mowed when there wasn't any grass.  Just dirt due to the harsh August heat here in North Texas along with water restrictions.  In the past they would have called and suggested I move to a 2 week schedule or a plan to get the grass growing in the areas where there was dirt.  I had to call them and change my plan to a 2 week schedule.  I noticed a decline in the quality of their work.  There were tire tracks in the yard where they cut the grass too short.  However I tried to work with them. 

My last straw was when I sent them $120 each month for mowing during the Spring/Summer.  Sometimes they would only come twice a month.  I thought this would be credited to the next month's bill.  However, they would not acknowledge the $120 payment on the invoice and just show where I paid for them mowing my yard 2 times.  Never saw a credit on the invoice.  Nothing.  This happened several times.  I was unable to keep up with it since I was in the hospital and in poor health most of last Fall.  However, I called them once I was recovering in December and the guy that took my call assured me they would be sending me a check with a refund.  I never received the check and now it is almost March. 

I would have recommended them to others if I got the same quality service I received back in 2002 - 2009.  However, I can't say that I would recommend this business with what I have experienced in the last 2 years.  Horrible account managing and poor quality have made me take my $$$ and loyalty to another business who will be honest and consistent with the quality of their work.
