I purchased a few items from them in the past and had no issues with those transactions. However, it's completely a different and very disappointing experience when it comes to service and repair. . My last experience with the repair work they did for me was the final nail in the coffin and will certainly be the last time I do business with them. . I took a push line trimmer in for a Carb job, which they repaired for $215.50. However, they unfortunately broke the electric motor/starter in the process and wanted to charge me an additional $238.75 to fix it. The electric starter was working 100% when they took possession of it and it was non-functional when they returned it to me. They refused to own up and fix it, and they wanted me to pay for what they broke. . I would not recommend dealing with them when it comes to service and repair.

I have used Plano Power Equipment for many years to keep my Toro mower running. I have also purchased other lawn care equipment from them in the past. Their prices are very competitive and they know their products.

Quick turnaround

My walk-behind lawn mower had been drained of gas and oil for a long-distance move. Upon refilling gas and oil, it smoked and ran rough. The first lawn mower shop I took it to couldn't figure out the cause. Plano Power Equipment got it into the shop right away, found the problem, fixed it, and called me the next day. Total bill was fifty-some dollars.
This shop is busy, experienced, professional. It gets a lot of business from professional lawn care guys. I'm just a homeowner with one lawn mower, but they served me promptly, the same as their regular customers. This is a good place to do business.

Upon return, the delivery person lifted a push mover over my riding lawn mover to back of truck, and hit my mower several times. He was surprised to see me watching him do it...When he moved my mower onto driveway, I paid and he went back to truck to leave. I had to stop him because a couple of parts from push mower were on top of my mower...Later, the next problem was that my husband couldn't start the mower. We had to call them back to start it. Turns out the battery had died...Everything was addressed in a timely manner.

Took mower down to Plano Power Equipment for a seasonal tune up, brought it home broken. Did not contact them to discuss the matter, figured what was the use. If they couldn't change the oil, air filter or sharpen the blade would they be able to fix the fly wheel? After this little "Spring Tune Up" was all over could have purchased a new mower!

This is the way all companies should treat their customers. I described the problem to Glenn and he came out to take a look. while the mower was still in the back of my truck he checked a couple things, went back to grab a couple tools and took 5 mins to make the repair. the Jet in the carb had gotten clogged and he was able to quickly diagnose the problem from my description and a little hands on diagnosis. No charge for this repair says to me that they appreciate my continued business more than a few extra quick bucks. In the long run I will keep coming back to any company that treats me this way and tell my friends to do the same.

I dropped off my lawn mower at Plano Power Equipment on 7/18/13 for repairs. The store was clean and the counter service was polite and efficient. I expected the work to take a few days, but I received a call the next day that the mower was ready. I picked-up the mower and returned home. At that point, I noticed that the blades had not been replaced, although I was charged for them. It was after-hours, so I left a message on the company's voice mail system. Early the next morning, I received a call back with an apology and they sent someone to finish the work at my home later in the day at a time that was convenient for me. In addition, I received a follow-up call this morning from the manager of Plano Power Equipment who was very apologetic and sincere. Without me asking, he refunded all of the labor costs associated with the repair work. I realize that sometimes mistakes happen during the course of a busy day, and despite the inconvenience, I was extremely happy with the professionalism, honesty, and attention to doing things right. It seems like true customer service is a lost art these days, so it was refreshing to see that it is alive and well at Plano Power Equipment. Despite the hiccup, I plan to keep doing business with Plano Power Equipment in the future, and due to their great customer service, I will recommend the company to others.

Brought my mower in on a Monday, it was ready by Wednesday, other places had a 2 week waiting period. The carb replacement was only $40.00 parts and labor..others quoted me $50 to $60 just to rebuild my old carb. Great service, called promptly when it was done, helped me load and unload, very nice folks...

Good work, just sometimes have long lines and telephone answering is horrible. But everyone is working hard, it must be difficult to staff for peak periods in this business. Still, I recommend them.

We brought our lawn mower in to be serviced because it would not start. After 2 weeks they called and it was ready. They fixed the problem and even sharpened the blades for us all for $59. I would use them again.

The service was friendly, the work was completed in a few days. I am happy with the service. I will use Lawn Mower and Power Tool Repair again.
