 + -1 moreThe last few months, McAfee frequently and unexpectedly would freeze up my computer by downloading updates. It was impossible to do anything else while it was updating. It could take anywhere from half hour to close to an hour. Then it would say my computer was not protected, that virus checking was turned off. When I contacted customer service they were absolutely no help. Seemed confused what I was telling them. Appeared to be untrained. I also had a problem with a loud motor noise from my computer box. Last week I uninstalled McAfee. Have had no issues since. Installed a free Security from my Internet Provider -- Road Runner. Very strangely, the loud motor noise from the computer box has not been heard since the uninstall. In my opinion, both the virus protection software and their customer service are absolutely no value.
Description of Work: Virus protection. Have used McAfee for several years.
