Master mastic did a great job Mastic sealing around the pool and extended patio. They dug out all the old mastic, poured in the new and covered it with sand. Fast and neat. They do not offer a “come back and clean up the sand” option after the 2 day waiting period but my leaf blower made quick work of the job.

We had started by removing the mastic and decided the mixing and replacing was not in our comfort level. Cost was a bit less because we had removed the old product. I would recommend this company as everything went as expected.

Three guys came out and they did an absolutely BEAUTIFUL job, in 102 degree heat no less! Our pool and deck was completely remodeled 6 years ago and the mastic had degraded/pulled away in several places, especially along the retaining wall where there has been some movement and where there wasn't much “base” underneath the mastic to support it. After stripping out all the old mastic and cleaning/scraping the edges, MM filled all of the gaps with enough sand to provide a solid base before pouring the mastic. They then brushed sand over all the mastic to give it a nice textured finish that matches our roughly taupe-colored deck. They also did an amazing job at minimizing how much "stray" sand got spread around on the deck, which was easily vacuumed up 24 hours later. In summary, we couldn’t be happier with the quality of this job as well as the professionalism of everyone involved including Teresa at the office!

They just finished yesterday. Lots of sand left around that I will need to sweep up later today and small amounts of debris, but not too bad. The price per linear foot($5 per linear foot) was better than my local pool company and they were also more responsive than my local pool company. I would use them again.

They did a good job but left a lot of sand on the mastic which later went into the pool. It was hard to clean out. It would be nice if they had come back and cleaned up the extra sand.

"Thank you! The sand is a tough one for us. It needs to be untouched for 24-hours due to its extreme proximity to the wet mastic. We would have to raise our prices - significantly - in order to return after 24-hours to sweep/hose/blow the sand. Our solution has been to send out the pre-job emails regarding the sand since we've found our customers want our prices kept at a moderate rate. We offer this information as an explanation. Although actual mastic joint replacement was acceptable, the conditions left in it's wake were not - spilled mastic, sand used to spread over the mastic was left all over my decking, as were pieces of masking tape and old mastic removed. Spilled mastic stained stone decking. I will not patronize them again. Unprofessional. Lack of respect for property.

So on professionalism alone, I cannot recomend them. They left a huge mess in my yard -- they didn't clean up the old mastic, they just left piles of it everywhere. They also left beverage bottles and containers in my backyward on the floor. Also, they did not protect our pool or clean it up after the GIANT mess they made. They just left so much grit and dirt in there and didn't bother to vacuum it up. I ended up paying a pool cleaner to deal with the mess they made and that cost me any savings I might have gotten from them compared to the next bid. Worse was they blocked our driveways on two occasions. On both occasions we asked them to move. The first time he said we had room when we clearly didn't and eventually he had to move his car before we hit him. The second time he refused to move when I needed to go out -- he said I had room and waved me in. That was great until I hit something and damaged my car. Worse he laughed at me about that. My fault for listening to this idiot. Between the mess they left in my backyard and just not doing something simple the customer asked I cannot recommend them. Beyond that, I encourage you not to use them. This was the worst experience I've ever had dealing with a contractor. The work itself was OK mostly. There are a few spots where we have gaps in their work, but probably average. It definitely didn't live up the name "master". This might sound like a rant and I'm crazy. But this is all true. At a minimum, even if they had no skill, they could have cleaned up their mess, not leave red bull cans all over my garden, and simply move their truck when we asked them.

Very responsive. Came out quickly and provided a estimate on the spot (quite a bit less expensive than the quote from our pool company). Scheduling the work was easy. They arrived on time, did the work, cleaned up and were on their way. Looks great. Highly recommend!

A team of three men completed the removal and installation of new mastic around my pool and deck as agreed. I was especially pleased that the pricing was more reasonable than other quotes I received. I would highly recommend this company.

I started this job myself and spent about two weeks getting half way around the pool. Then I hired my pool maintenance company to finish the job. They sent over a couple of guys who didn't have a clue and made a big mess of it. (I sent them away after they had spent about an hour here and demonstrated that they didn't know what they were doing). After searching Angies List, I contacted Master Mastic. Brian came out to look at the job and gave me a bid. He arrived as scheduled and did an amazing job. It being winter and the pool water cold, he had to lean over the side of the pool to remove and replace the vertical mastic, so it wasn't an easy job. This guy is a real pro! It took him two hours to do what I had struggled with for 2 weeks. He was professional and efficient and did I say, "His work looks amazing!!" I will definitely use this company again.
