About us

Marlow Automotive is a family run business that has been open since October of 2002. We have over sixty-five combined years of automotive diagnosing and repairing experience. There are seven empoloyees working to keep your experience with us positive and with a personal touch. We have the latest factory diagnostic equipment for all domestic and most foreign vehicles. Most issues can be diagnosed for a half hour check out fee and that fee normally applies to the repair if you decide for us to go ahead with it. All of our empoloyees strive to make you feel comfortable with the work being performed on your vehicle. We will explain in detail what needs to be done and are happy to answer all of your questions. We understand that not all maintenance or even repairs can be done all at once. We will give you a list and prioritize your vehicle's needs so that you can do them as you can afford them. We offer courtesy rides within a five mile radius and have an arrangement with Avis for $22 a day car rental if you were needing a vehicle to drive while we work on yours. We have a night drop box for after hour convenience. We accept M/C, Visa, Discover, and Cash.

I have taken every vehicle that I have owned over the past 10+ years to Marlow's whenever I need any repair or replacement work done.  I have found them to be honest and fair on every occasion.  In this particular area of the service industry I believe that it is difficult to find someone who you can trust every time.  But I have found that to be true with Marlow's without exception, today's work included.

I think they did a battery change for me.
They were a little expensive, a little pricey.

Marlow did what they always do. They diagnosed the problems and performed the repairs completely and quickly. They also minimized my costs. It's always great to find a mechanic that can be trusted. Marlow's team has proven that they are looking out for their customers' best interests again and again.

It was good. I have a Jeep and my Jeep is sometimes a little quirky. They have been able to solve what other places have never been able to solve like electrical issues. They're very knowledgeable and they really specialize in Jeeps. They've been great. They're a lot less expensive than some of the other places that work on Jeeps like the dealership. They're family-owned and they're a smaller shop. They just do a really good job.

It went very well. The quote was exactly right on target and exactly perfect. They got my car back to me in a very short period of time.

I want to preface by saying that we had used Marlow for about a year, and they had been excellent.  We had used them three or four times earlier and they had been great, they even fixed a broken door on my Suburban that Christian Brothers couldn't fix.  However, in the Fall of 2012 we had a whining power steering problem with the Hyundai and we initially got a $1,000 estimate from Van Hyundai (with a free loaner car), but we called Marlow and Marlow said they could fix it for $600.   Well, we got it over there and paid for several days for a rental, and their bill would up being over $1,000 dollars.   The car began to whine again within a day or two after we got it back from them, so we brought it back to them again.  They kept it a few more days (we paid for more rentals).   We got it back and it still whined, just not as loud.  At this point, Marlow was proposing a new (expensive) repair proposal because what they had done so far had not worked.  Frustrated, we declined.  We drove the car a few more months and the whining got so loud it was unbearable.  We took the car to Eckert Hyundai and they found the problem.  It was some sort of cheap plastic part that had cracked.  They fixed the car for less than $150.   That fiasco with Marlow probably cost me somewhere between $1,400 and $2,000 when you count the car rental.   They had done good work in the past, but I'm done.

We recently purchased my daughter a 2007 Dodge Caliber and did not see some warning signs when we test drove it.  After only 6 weeks the alternator started whining so we took it to Marlowe.  I have taken my 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport to them for years and have always been pleased - it's runs like a top at 140,000 miles.  As a single mom when I first started using their services I felt very much that I could trust them and their prices were always very fair.  Jeff would tell me what I may need to have done, but I never felt forced to have repairs or services that weren't immediately necessary.  We also started taking my husband's 2006 Jeep Liberty to them a few years ago as well.
The repairs to the Calliber were quite costly:: the alternator had to be replaced and the rattling noise we heard at every bump turned out to be the struts, which would also need to be replaced and the brakes rotors were worn.  Bill the Owner called me himself to give me the news, but offered a complimentary service to lessen the sting.
Jeff has been there for several years and runs the front office with Bill and Candy, the owners.  Although I do see Bill in the repair bays with Charlie, one of their mechanics who I have spoken to often over the years.   It's nice to find a family owned auto repair shop where you can get to know the staff and trust what they are telling you.

Only complaint about Marlows is that they misquoted the effort at about 380 but but changed to 700 when they realized they had to disconnect air conditioning lines to get radiator out. Also reccomendation ad hose replacement at that time which I did have done. He only charged my for parts, not labor for the misquoted effort so I appreciated that.

. I was impressed with the professionalism of this provider. All of their people were courteous and helpful. Jeff took the time to do an actual estimate over the phone and called me back promptly with how much it would cost to do the work. He saved the old parts and did the work quickly and had my car back to me in about 36 hours. I'm impressed. I am a mechanic. If I haven't got the time or equipment to do it myself, this is where I'll bring my cars in the future.
Thanks Marlow. Thanks Angie's list

I've been going to Marlow for 12 years.  They are the only folks who have taken care of my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee, which I still drive every day.  They are good, dependable and HONEST!  I recommend them to all my friends and family.  Can't say enough good things about them.

After going to several different shops, Marlow was able to find the problem and fix the problem. They were really good about calling me everyday to let me know what was wrong with the jeep and the progress. They were really good about keeping me safe, by making sure I had information I needed, and information I needed for proper maintenance. I twas really great to know as a female drive that i have a place to go if I have any problems with it. They were really nice, professional and a family owned repair shop. They know a lot about jeeps. Its nice to have a place to go that cares for you and understands your jeep.

Marlow Automotive performed the difficult task of lifting the cab, removing the heads and associated hardware, and rebuilding the upper engine. In all aspects, this was an absolutely first rate experience. Bill Marlow worked on our vehicle himself, and oversaw all work on the vehicle. Marlow Automotive is a small family owned and operated business. Because they are small, they took a slightly longer time than a large garage, but the time was definitely worth it. The work was performed professionally and in a first rate manner. I have no problems at all with taking any of my vehicles to Marlow Automotive for any work. In addition, I can unhesitatingly recommend this small but highly capable garage to you for your vehicle service needs.

My 2007 Lexus had a hydraulic leak in the power steering system. The dealer had quoted $1800 to replace the rack and pinion steering assembly, and said repair was not possible -- only replacement. One of the mechanics (Casey?) examined the car and determined that the leakage could be stopped with a repair. Jeff quoted an inital estimate of a bit more than $300. When the repairs were finished, Jeff explained that the parts had cost less than estimated, and my total bill was $231. I was treated great and Marlow Automotive saved me a bundle! The three people I spoke with were all professional, courteous and knowledgeable. My best car repair experience in a long time.
