Oscar is a nice man. It is why we chose him. My husband instantly liked him and trusted him, and my husband has been in construction for 25 years. However, this was the Worst experience with a company involving construction we’ve ever had. Our Pool remodel is aesthetically poor quality and resulted in a waterfall and hot tub that don’t work properly. The remodel that was expected to take 8-10 weeks to complete took over 8 MONTHS due to numerous issues. Attempts were made by Oscar to fix some issues…he retiled the spa outside surround bc it leaked all over, had someone check for leaks in the pool, retiled some terribly glass tiled areas in the spa which he agreed were terrible, he suggested a different pump which we bought…so he did try to fix some issues. However, I think bc there were so many, it became too much for him. We still ended up with a hot tub that doesn’t work right, a poor tile job in the hot tub, and a rock waterfall that leaks in the back with large holes and loose rocks. Oscar denies knowledge of why the hot tub doesn’t work, and we believe that he doesn’t know how to fix it, and he says will not it fix it. A year warranty is offered but it not very specific to what’s covered but it wasn’t honored in our case anyway. Oscar did come back in a year when we contacted him one last time, to see if we would fix any of the issues. He offered to re-stone a part of the spa that was not an issue, that looked fine and did not leak, but he refused to correct the leaking waterfall and pressure in the hot tub. We have been quoted thousands by other companies to get the work his company did corrected. We paid Majestic approx $20k for pool plaster, tile, to move pool equipment, raise the spa and add a waterfall. The spa resulted in very little pressure, it has some bubbles, but in no way is working like before or like one would expect a hot tub to work/feel. Plaster was stained within a couple months despite regular cleaning. The waterfall leaks constantly in the back and looks like it was Thrown together by someone who obviously didn’t know what they were doing. The spa and waterfall are the first things people comment on when they come over, and the comments or questions regarding it are never good or complimentary. DO NOT PAY until the work is completed and you are sure everything is in working order. We will have to pay thousands to get the spa and waterfall corrected By another company. We paid before the work was done and that was our mistake. We knew better than to pay before the job was done, but we trusted Oscar, because he really seems to be a nice man. I hope by sharing our stupidity will keep someone else from doing the same.
