I had requested that Mr. Kenneth Scott provide a professional engineering analysis on our slab foundation prior to beginning repair work on the foundation. Mr. Scott has been a Registered Professional Engineer for many years. We made an appointment and he arrived promptly on time. He spent 3 - 4 hours recording the elevations of the home and briefly discussed his findings with me at the end of the appointment. He then returned to his office and provided a written analysis and recommendations within a day or so.
We were able to email and/or fax Mr. Scott's report to several foundation contractors and receive bids for the work. A couple of the contractors contacted Mr. Scott directly upon receipt of his analysis and he was extremely responsive to their inquiries.
We hired a foundation repair contractor and Mr. Scott returned and completed a final inspection of the contractor's work and provided a final repair report.
I highly recommend Mr. Scott based on his years of experience, the professional manner in which he handled our foundation analysis and his responsiveness in answering our potential contractor's questions.
If we decide to sell our home in the future, we should have absolutely no issues since we have Mr. Scott's reports along with the foundation contractor's warranty paperwork.
