On Feb. 5th at 12:23pm, I called Kelly's Heating & Air to discuss having my AC repaired. After talking with several other companies that told me it was most likely the capacitor, I called Kelly’s back to set an appointment. On Feb. 7th the repair man arrived disheveled and dirty, which gave me cause as to who he was. He DID NOT hook up meters or gauges to the outside AC unit or test any of the original parts to determine their status, but made the decision to replace and charge me for a CONTACTOR, FAN MOTOR, and CAPACITOR, in addition to the service call. On Feb.12th they canceled and reset my appointment for Feb. 21st at 9am. He showed up 2 hours late with the wrong fan, left and returned 2 hours later with another incorrect fan, which he went ahead and installed with an additional small part, in order to make it work. He came to my door saying he was done and wanted to be paid. I had to ask for an invoice, to which he scoffed but reluctantly obliged. That day was chilly and the AC was not needed, but the invoice stated that he had replaced the three parts mentioned above and he had displayed that the fan was working, insinuating that the AC was as well; On the 22nd however, (which was warmer) I discovered that it was not. After calling Kelly's to inform them, I was rescheduled for Feb. 28th, but again no one showed. After numerous calls I received a text that they could put me on for March 7th. At this point I had paid Kelly's Heating & Air $815.00 cash and still no one would show. Finally, I called "DEXTERITY HEATING & AIR LLC", after a recommendation from "Home Advisor", and they arrived 45 mins later. They tested everything and asked why the wrong motor was installed, informing me that the original contactor AND motor were still good. The original Capacitor, (which I had taken photos of, in addition to the rest of the original parts) had NOT been replaced as the invoice had stated, and turned out to be the ONLY part needed, as had been suggested from the beginning. The AC was finally blowing cold air, the cost was $224 in comparison, but Kelly's has yet to return and will no longer take my calls.

As always, they are friendly, quick, and most important honest. You will never get a pitch to fix something that could be going bad. Best company I have dealt with. I won't use another AC company as long as they are in business.

As usual with Brad it went very well. We have been using Kelly's for a lot of years and are always 100% pleased with the service. This time was no exception and may have been even better that expected. He came out to see why the room was not being cooled, analyzed the problem, fixed it, and was finished in under 1 hour. Wow.

Excellent! I got two different quotes for this service. The air handler was 30 years old and undersized and was costing me a lot of money every winter and throughout the year. The first company I called was a larger company that advertises on one of the talk stations I listen to. They quoted me $3k for an 11 SEER unit with 10 yr parts, 1 year labor warranty. I called Kelly's for another quote since they did my mother's air handler a few years prior and had serviced my unit once before. Brad (the owner) came out and inspected my unit and went over my options. He even entertained and listened to ideas I had concerning the installation (like rotating the new unit in order to cut down the length of the duct work). When I asked what brand he installs, he listed a brand I had never heard of. He said he switches brands occasionally to stay with the most reliable. If he finds out the brand he's using has a recall or issues, he'll switch to the most reliable at the time. He was very knowledgeable and it was obvious he keeps up with the latest in AC technology. He also told me that the new unit was the same as a Carrier unit, just re-branded. He quoted me $2300 for a 13 SEER unit (The other company was $3k for an 11 SEER unit) with 10 yr parts and 1 yr labor warranty (although Brad said if I call him after 2 years because something broke from the labor that he'd feel like he cheated me if he didn't come out and fix it) and said the price wouldn't change even if there were unforeseen issues. Which is good, because there were quite a few! He had to take the attic stairs out, buy a new plenum and ended up with the wrong intake duct 2 different times! They had to come out and finish this morning. He said it was the hardest removal he'd ever done. I was extremely impressed with Kelly's! Not only because of the amazing and professional installation and work they did, (the AC is quiet now and works so much better! I'm excited to see how well it cools in the Summer! Money well spent!) but also because Brad, the owner, was out doing the work! He carried on great conversation, even when he was hard at work and I was sitting there watching them do their thing or picking his brain about the duct work and the science behind A/C. (I'm an engineer and a big DIY'r and have been obsessed with my AC system and energy improvements since I bought the house.) He even told me about the tricks other companies use, like trying to push variable speed systems because of the higher mark-up on them with little benefit. He said he's in the business to make a living, not become a millionaire. AND since it was cool outside, he was afraid he didn't get the best reading on my Freon pressure, so he said call him when it's over 75 outside and he'll come out and top it off if it needs it! I don't like hiring contractors since I can do most things myself. I had just been in a fight with a previous contractor (A listed on here for some reason) over poor customer service and work. This was just a refreshing experience after all of that. I'm happy to have found a great AC contractor that my family and I can trust! There's not too much better of a feeling than that! Especially since my outdoor unit is on it's way out! Give Kelly's a call and they will treat you right!

I should have called them to check the unit, but it has been running well. It has been cooling even when the heat is more than 100 degrees. So, I guess there are no problems and no fixes. We have always been pleased with them. It has been almost 20 years since we have owned two different houses. We have had them out to do some fixes on our old one in our other house that we owned. We had a fairly good sized house. The system that they installed was 5 tons and it handled two thirds of the house. It was the father who used to come out, but his son started helping him out. The father passed away. So, his son now runs the business. It's his son or his son-in-law. I had somebody else come out a couple of times. Overall, Kelly's Heating and Air Conditioning was excellent. They were honest and conservative. Sometimes when the guy who came out could have done something new or changed something, he didn't recommend doing it. He used to say that it was okay. When our old furnace at our other house began to throw flames out, the guy said that it was getting unsafe and told me to replace it. So, we replaced it. They are good. They were very reasonable for the work done. They fixed everything and I never had any problems with anything they installed. When I did have a problem, the guy came out on time. When you have a system in the attic, we learnt that you need a drain line to take the condensation water out. So, that was clogged up with insects and junk. That was the reason why we were having leakage. So, the guy just cleaned the line. They didn't even charge for things like that sometimes. If he said that he was running late and he probably wouldn't be there till 5:00 or 6:00, then that was usually what it was. He still comes to the house even if he has worked all day. I thought that was admirable in the scheme of things.

Others I had brought out wanted to replace my whole system for $12,000. He was honest, pleasant, and told me what I could replace later vs. now and what the risk to wait would be. I would use him again and recommend to all in his service Area around Carrollton, TX area.

Our compressor went out and unfortunately had to be ordered (none were on hand in the DFW area). Technicians tracked the order and made sure they could install as soon as it hit their dock. They did it all perfectly and in a timely manner.

Showed up on time, did the work quickly and at a fair price. We had a unit freeze up the prior weekend and he stopped by just to take a look and tell us what to do.

We did get the a/c fixed, but took several trips, which was frustrating in the TX summer. But they did it, and when it wasn't fixed the first time, they came out free of charge to get it right when we called them back.

They're absolutely the best heating and air conditioning company in the area. We tried several different companies before we found them and we can really tell the difference. I find them to be rather reliable. They show up right on time, maybe even early. The same man comes every time. It's nice because he already knows the schematics of our home. I appreciate how they were able to install our unit right when we needed it. They gave us advice regarding our home's heating and cooling systems. I also liked how they guided us to cheaper options. They're hands down the best company, price wise, in Lewisville.

The work was prompt, efficient, and did not try to over sell us. The estimate was done one a Thursday, we made a decision on a Friday, and the unit was installed on a Monday morning, which was okay with us, because we were out of town that weekend. We will be using this company for all our A/C needs.

Outstanding for this company has been very timely and yet very cost effective. On different occasions, they could have sold us a new unit but selected to provide repair and parts for much less than other companies.
