John always met the sub for the first day and checked on the work at least once per day. The work went as promised, possibly even faster. The fence went up and was stained as promised. When there was some warping of the backyard gate, John came twice to plane it and re-stain it. The windows went very well. I did have to watch what they were doing, as there was a trainee on the crew; they re-did three windows on site that day. They also came back promptly when there was a problem with one window. The painting also went quickly and the product is very nice. The gutters and spouts have retained their paint and color after three years, looking like new. As well as the work went, I found that being home to check on progress and point out issues as they went along worked well. It was to their advantage to make adjustments and corrections the same day.
