On both jobs they used different subcontractors but my experience was the same. Home Depot is pricey even with the discounts but I used them because I like their deferred payment plans. That said, won't use them again. In both cases, the lead time was exceptionally long. Their contractors seems very stretched. On both jobs there was little or no communication and follow up by their contractors. For the quartz contractors, it took me 2 weeks to finally get in touch with them to schedule an install....their phones were down. The installation was poor, the faucet install on one counter was uneven and on the other counter the faucet holes didn't even clear the sink so I couldn't install faucets. They finally made the changes but delayed the project 2 weeks.
For the kitchen counter install, they cut the island counter too big for the stove, which I don't understand since they sent out a person 3 weeks previous to do a very detailed template for the countertops. They had to get a new piece of granite and start all over again. Home Depot dropped the ball in coordinating the reconnect for my kitchen faucet and stove top. When the the guy came to reconnect my electric stove top, he informed me that the previous guy who disconnect the stove top left live wire exposed.
I have used Home Depot before in other remodels across three different states and I have been very satisfied in the past. This Plano location doesn't seem to have the infrastructure to handle the volume of business. They need more/better contractors and a internal expeditor to manage the volume. Seems that they leave all the coordination to the person that helps you order and design your remodel which is just too much for them
Going forward, I will only use them for ordering my finishes and supplies. They do a very good job with special orders and thinking through all the supplies needed for a remodel.
Hope you find this helpful!!

They were congenial and they helped me find the lumber that I needed and I loaded it up and drove home. I think their price is fair, for an old man like me everything costs too much money. Their material was okay. They are very professional and know what they are doing.

I recommend that you carefully measure the space from the wall to the bolts or ask a professional to measure before you order the toilet. My measurements were very close to 12", but the plumber informed me that it had to measure at least 12". I liked ordering the toilet on line because there were more selections than the store. I was able to choose the rim height, bowl shape, gallons per flush, color, and manufacturer that I wanted. Shipping was free with purchases over $250. The return of the wrong-size toilet was relatively easy by taking it to the Home Depot store along with the receipt. The personnel at the store were very helpful. The standard installation from Home Depot was $149. I wasn't charged anything extra for the two trips. The plumber (Larry) had to repair where the flange was not anchored into the floor for an extra $75. He did an excellent job of installation. He left the area very clean.
