I had the need for engineering to remove a load bearing wall. The "individual" showed up and stayed no more than five minutes total, did NOT look up in the ceiling where the drywall had removed (had a flood), did not utilize any measuring device and left. Two weeks later and NOTHING received, no calls, no emails, etc. What a BS company. I am discussing with the state this week. BS company!!!! Anybody that had good work with "company" I unfortunately have not seen on my side and unfortunately cannot believe them. If Gregory Wilson Engineering wants to contact me they have my number or we can look at legal alternatives! I wish I could give a ZERO for this "company".

Kent Schlager conducted a foundation inspection on my home at a cost of $300. I tried to speak with him first but was only able to speak with Sharon Wilson. I agreed to have Mr. Schlager come out. I had a previous repair done in 2014 and 3 or 4 elevation measurements taken in 2022 and have new signs of shifting, cracks, etc. When I tried to explain the history and said he, cut me off and said he was going to do the inspection. He refused to look at the previous reports. When he finished, he did not answer most of my questions. When he was taking notes, he asked me if I wanted this done right? He said if it's done right you won't need another repair. His recommendation was 35 concrete piers to a depth of 12 feet. I told him the previous piers were installed to 17 feet, so his design will not reach bedrock! He gave me a card with 3 firms listed. One firm, Triple J, is owned by the lady who works for him! His plan was way overkill and is a bad design! Do not waste your money!

Engineer had an opening and was able to come out the day of my request. Made a quick assessment and emailed a written report that evening.

kent came out on time quickly after the initial call.  provided us with a report for the needed piers.  he came out and inspected the installation of the pier as well which i was pleased to have a third pary do this inspection.  during this inspection he noticed some more problems in one corner of the house that was not noticed on initial inspection and recommended more piers in this area.  9 months later we are now having problems again with the foundation in the area which was only noticed on pier inspection.  Emailed Kent to come out and take a look and he wanted his full fee to come back out to check on the property.  Was not impressed by this response.

Kent took time to take measurements and do the job thoroughly and properly, unlike the structural engineer hired by the sellers (who took about 10 minutes). He wrote a detailed report and emailed it to us within 24 hours.

The inspection went smoothly and Kent provided feedback at the end of the inspection and a report by the next morning.

Their findings were found to be ?overkill? as expressed by other engineering firms that provided this same service.

Mr. Wilson was prompt and professional.  He and his assistant arrived when scheduled, inspected the building site pre-pour, confirmed the design, rebar sizing, etc.  pointed out some areas where the footings were not quite as wide as desired and provided overall feedback.  He also inspected the slab after pour and provided the Engineering report required by the city.  I do not know the cost as this was performed through the General Contractor.

Mr. Schlager arrived on time and appeared to be very thorough.  What distinguishes his services from others is that I have contacted him twice since the initial report and he has been very helpful and professional even six weeks after submitting his report.

I thought he did a very good job explaining what he found and the best way to take care of the problem. Being a do-it-yourself kind of person I really appreciated him explaining to me how to make a root barrier myself to save money. The next day I received an email from Kent with the complete report of his finds and recommendations. I was pleased with Kent's work and wouldn't hesitate to use him again or recommend to others.

He showed up as promised and took measurements using only a manual leveler. I was surprised that he did not use/have electronic equipment to take the measurements. He did deliver the written report as promised. He was the least expensive option.

His experience was good. He was down to earth, approachable, he spoke in layman's terms and made some very helpful recommendations. I thought he did a good job. I was pleased with what he contributed.

Appointment was about 40 minutes. He walked around the house and looked at it very closely and walked inside of home. He utilized a leveling stick. He provided an professional opinion about the foundation of my home. I paid him and he mailed receipt with a simple two page report concerning his findings and how to maintain the foundation. He did not utilize any fancy measurement tools. Did not provide a detailed report concerning how came to his conclusions other than visual inspection. He did not find anything wrong with my foundation and I hope his findings were correct (especially since this is the foundation of my home). In the future I would hire someone that would provide more evidence to support their findings. Final reporting method lacked substantial substance, or maybe I was just expecting more for $275. I am glad he did not find anything wrong, however I wanted more proof (floor elevations or a diagram).

I suspected that I needed foundation repair and asked 3 companies to look at my home and give me a bid. They all said that I needed a minimum of 6 pilings. I called Greg Wilson on a recommendation and was so glad that I did. He said that I only needed 2 pilings and that any more than that would be a negative impact. He even took the time to show me his findings and made himself available for questions in the future.

Greg showed up on time (the same day I called to set up an appointment) and gave my house's foundation a clean bill of health. He used levels to determine any areas of concern, explained what he was doing and why, explained why he felt there was no cause for concern and was finished before I expected him to be. Even though he was finished, he happily stuck around a few additional minutes to wait for my Realtor and explain his findings to him as well. He said that he would fax/mail an official copy of his report to me the next day, but it took a couple of days (and a follow-up phone call from me) to get the info sent over. That was my only (minor) complaint.
