GOODMAN TV

It did not go overall because they were out of business when I called. Their phone has been disconnected. A suggestion -- y'all need to update how these forms are filled out when consumers try to tell you that a company has gone out of business.

They needed to diagnose the exact problem why the TV was not working and they did it very quickly and ended up having to order a projection lamp for it. They took care of the problem on the same day, but, came back about a week later to put the permanent projection lamp in that they had ordered. They did a nice job, were quick and professional. They were a little high on the price, but, that was probably because of the projection lamp that they had to order which was pretty pricey. They were very good otherwise and their people in the office who scheduled were also very responsive.

The technicians were extremely helpful, they were on time, called me en-route to let me know they were 10 minutes away. Upon deciding the TV was not worth repairing, they hauled it away for an additional $25.00 which was lifesaver for me since it was BIG. Then they moved my bedroom TV into the living room so I had something to watch until I decided to replace the big one. I highly recommend this company.

This work was covered by an extended warranty. Goodman TV was able to diagnose the problem over the phone without making an initial service call. They worked things out with the warranty company, ordered the necessary parts and showed up on time to install the new parts. They did a very good job with this repair, BUT they were careless about moving the TV and dinged our custom TV console. My wife was NOT happy about this. The TV does work great though!

Mike Goodman came out within two days of my call, assessed the problem and gave me per-hour quote for the work. Two other companies, including the cable company, had previously checked out the situation and told us the job was not do-able due to the lack of attic space above the sunroom. When told of the other companies' assessment, Mike said, "There's always a way" and proceeded to check out the attic. He went into the attic and come back down six or seven times, looking for a way to get this cable transfer done. In the end, he spent at least half an hour, fully stretched out, face buried in 30 year-old attic insulation, trying, and ultimately succeeding to hit a little one-inch square spot in a far corner of the attic, which was the only possible point of entry to the sunroom from the attic. He made it work, and what's even more astonishing, maintained a cheerful, friendly and positive attitude throughout what looked to me to be an absolute nightmare of a job. I could not be more pleased with every aspect of his work.

I called Goodman TV to establish they did warranty work. Once Goodman TV received the authorization, they called me back to setup an appointment. The time was mid December and my appointment was scheduled 10 days out. I was surprised that the appointment was so far out but was thankful my TV was not out completely or I would have been unhappy about the wait. They came out on time on the scheduled day. The technician looked at my TV and without ever touching it (except to verify the serial number) made a diagnosis then left within 10 minutes. I had a lot of questions and I had the impression the technician had better things to do. After getting authorization to order the expensive part under warranty it took another 2 weeks (over the holidays) to get the part. Once the part was in, they promptly scheduled my repair within a couple of days. The techs who visited were pleasant and answered my questions. They had my TV repaired in about 10 minutes.

It was still under warranty so I didn't have to pay anything. Alright. Everything was good.

The lead technician, Jaime and helper Obed were very prompt, arriving at the prescribed time. They discovered the problem after doing a thorough examination. The set required a new red CRT (gun), which Jaime ordered while still in my home. Jaime adjusted the picture so that we could use the set until the part arrived. When it did, Jaime and Obid came back out, transported the TV (it is huge) very carefully, placing it into a trailer for transport to the shop. When the TV was repaired, it was returned early on Saturday morning, all the dish and antenna and surround sound cables were reconnected, and the set works perfectly. It seems that Goodman TV only delivers repaired TVs on Saturday, even if the set is repaired and ready earlier.
