It was very good. We told him what we wanted, because we have a dog, so we needed something that was durable. I wanted something that was easy to clean. So he showed us what we wanted, he showed us different samples and all that. We just picked what we liked. They scheduled it. They came out and they had it all done in like 4 hours. They were here right when they said they were going to be.

The salesperson, Mark, was very knowledgeable about all types of wood flooring and was great at helping us decide what we wanted. He brought samples to our home, where the lighting was more realistic than in the store. He was very patient with us and not at all pushy. We really appreciate his professionalism. Then, when we finally decided on the wood product, we scheduled the install. The installation crew was awesome. It took two days and they were extremely polite, professional and skillful at their job.
The results: perfect. There was one spot of transition piece that would not stay down, so they replaced it and back to perfection.
I highly recommend the Floor Hut for any flooring needs.

Job took way longer than anticipated, we were told 5 days, it went about 10 all in all. Good job overall, they had to come back and fix the level on some tile installed in the master bath but it was taken care of promptly.

They were absolutely perfect from beginning to end. The person who helped me, his name is Mark, they gave service above and beyond. He noticed a crack in the toilet as well, so i picked out the toilet I wanted at Home Depot and his man went and picked it up for me. Their tile setter was a perfectionist; I had ceramic tile and laminate wood installed and everything was perfect. I have no complaint of any kind and have nothing but praise for them! They had great attention to detail and the workman they hired to do the labor was super. I was so pleased and it was well worth the price.

We have used Floor Hut before and were very satisfied in the past. This installation however caused a lot of frustration due to lack of communication. The finish molding on the laminate floor had to be redone due to shoddy workmanship. The installers did come back the next day and tore out all of the original molding and replaced it. The carpet installers showed up three hours late with no phone call. Chris the owner was responsive to our phone calls but the fact that we had to make the phone calls in the first place was due to their poor communication. Mark was our sales person and he was very pleasant to work with. Overall the finished product is what we expected but getting there over a four day period was not. If the installers would have called us to give us updates on their status the grade would've been much higher than what we are giving in this report.

Response from Floor Hut Inc
"We at Floor Hut tried did everything we can to have the clients carpet installed on a rainy day. Because of the rain we were not sure we could even install it on the schedule date, because the client lived in an apartment on the 3rd floor. Carpets come in one big roll and has to be rolled out to be cut to the size of the rooms,we would have to do it downstairs in the open and then take it upstairs to be installed. No client would want wet carpet to be installed in their home, and this is even mentioned in our contracts. By mid day when the rain stopped and the ground dried up we were able to install the carpet. Our flooring consultants and I are extremely professional with all our clients and we did everything possible to install the carpet on a rainy day. As for our installer not being able to communicate well in English, all I can say is that we at Floor Hut and mostly all of our clients have not had a problem communicating with our installers in English."

They were great! Creswell was so pleasant to work with. Work quality was very good (minor floor wood installation "mistakes", but still very well done overall).
There was an issue with the existing wood floors, which were sanded and refinished. Apparently, the previous owner applied a was coating, which prevented the polyeurethane from adhering to the surface. The solution required a complete sanding of the existing wood floors, followed by staining and coating with poly. Floor Hut bore this cost, and we bore the cost of staying in our rental for an added week (costing us $700).
One year after the date of the installation, I am writing this review. The floors are still fine, but the wax problem is surfacing again. No fault of Floor Hut, of course, but the edges of some of the floor boards that had the was are "chipping" off. I called them to see if I could buy some of the poly they use, or if they could tell me the brand so I can purchase on my own. I am still waiting for a return call one week later. I will call them again to get the poly.
Overall, I was very pleased with Creswell and Floor Hut!

Workmanship is beautiful and we're very pleased with the results.
In the kitchen, we were cleaning up glue remnants for a long time afterward on the light, stone-looking vinyl flooring. One piece of tile had a flaw in the surface and they installed it anyway. We noticed it when they were cleaning up and the crew asked if we wanted it replaced. Of course we did! They should have seen it themselves and replaced it immediately. Other than that the kitchen flooring went well and most people are surprised that it isn't stone. We chose vinyl because it won't crack if a pot or something heavy is dropped on it, and it feels warmer than stone. (We do have stone in other rooms though.)
The supplier ran out of inventory for the wood that we ordered so we had to wait a few weeks for it to be delivered. It did come on the date promised. The installers undercut the brick fireplace slightly so it looks like the fireplace is installed over the wood - a very nice appearance. A different installer was just going to put molding around the fireplace. Floor Hut's approach is much nicer looking.
Before installing wood flooring a moisture test is done on concrete slabs. The reading came up too high. They let it sit for about a 1 1/2 days and it didn't change, so they offered us a choice of using a more expensive, moisture-proof glue or some other type of barrier. We chose the glue because it was cheaper and faster.
We had two problems, described below, that left a bad taste, although the work was beautiful and we'd use them again.
We planned on having two bathrooms remodeled and stone flooring installed in them, so we told the crew chief not to install t-molding or reducers at those doorways, and asked him to leave us with a piece of t-molding that would match the floors that we could have installed when the bathrooms were done. He agreed and said he'd bring it soon. It didn't appear and we asked again, and again. Apparently there was a communication problem. Don't know if he didn't understand us, or if Mark the salesman didn't understand him, or what, but they finished the job, installed (wasted) reducers at the bathrooms (that were removed the following week when the bathroom remodeling started), and never delivered the matching wood t-molding. We e-mailed and spoke to Mark who said he'd get us a price for the t-molding and couldn't give us a refund / credit for the wasted reducer. Mark told us the price for the t-molding was $50 plus shipping! Wow! We bought a piece of unstained t-molding at Seconds & Surplus and stained it ourselves. Cost for t-molding and urettane stain about $27, and it matches the wood better than the reducers from Floor Hut.
When Mark did the measuring he said that the crews would try to preserve quarter-rounds in rooms that had them where painted walls meet the floor. He said sometimes the quarter round couldn't be removed without breaking and if that happened they would replace them with primed, ready to paint white quarter round. In the kitchen, where the quarter rounds were stained to match the cabinets things went perfectly. Same in the dining room where the quarter rounds were painted to match the walls. But in other areas, where the quarter rounds were off-white the crew didn't make any attempt to preserve them. At the end of the job they replaced them with the primed, white quarter rounds. We noticed immediately and complained that now we have to paint all the molding in those rooms. We've gotten used to it, and haven't painted yet. If the light isn't bright or you aren't focused on it you don't notice it. But it is noticeable and all of the molding really should be painted now because of that.

We looked around and went to several carpet stores, including some of the highest ranked merchants on Angies List in the area, and were not impressed with the information or the customer service offered. I found Floor Hut off another web site recommendation and then checked Angie's List. While Floor Hut did not have many reviews, they were all positive.
We couldn't be more pleased with the customer service and the installation. The owner, Creswell Rozario, was polite, informative without being condescending and followed through on each concern and question we had. They worked with our schedule for the installation and the installers were very professional and did a great job. We will definetly use Floor Hut again and we would highly recommend this business.

Floor hut replaced a little less than 3000 sq ft of carpet, as our home was going on the market for sale.
Mark, our sales rep was great. He showed me exactly what carpet would meet my needs, and it was beautiful. It made my house look brand new! They even did a two day job in one day to accommodate us! The crew was great, very professional, and moved all of our furniture with care, then put it back where I wanted it. The crew worked hard moving all of my heavy furniture, and worked late, but there was never a complaint. The crew was very pleasant to work with. The service, and price, were better than I ever imagined, and installation went perfectly. I have never had a crew cleanup like this. There were so few carpet fibers left behind I couldn't believe it. Our house sold in a few days and having the new carpet smell sure helped! I could not be more pleased and recommend them highly them for any flooring need. Thank you carpet hut!

The owner came out to our home with the samples we chose from his store to measure our home and helped us choose the right color flooring. He was very professional and thorough on all the details. We had a very short time frame to get the floors installed and he was able to get it completed days before the due date. He has one team that installs carpet only and one team that installs tile and hardwood floors only so if there are any issues it gets solved right a way. Most companies out there have several teams of installers which is sometimes bad because if you have issues it takes longer to solve. I definitely recommend using Floor Hut. They are very professional and for the quality and amount of new flooring we bought, the price is just right!

My experience was extremely disappointing. The original schedule was for the work to begin on a Friday and be completed on that Saturday, with maybe some minor stuff to be done on the next Monday. Two tile workers showed up on Thursday, a day early!!! I was working at home but I have 2 big dogs I had made arrangements for. So when they showed up I had to rush my dogs over to my Moms and rush to get my things out of the bathroom that I would need, since I was not expecting them until the next day. So they start unloading everything and I notice one of the tile pieces looks really large. I wanted 16 inch tiles but was told they did not come in the color I needed so I settled on the 18 inch tiles. But when they unloaded the boxes, the tiles were 20 inches , way too big. I called Cris who had placed the order and he said that the tile company was in error. He also said it was only 2 inches larger than what I ordered and if I would I be ok with those. I said no, so they had to go back on Friday and get the right size. Then on Friday only one worker shows up to do the job. He didn't show up until almost 10 am, and was left about 7:30. NO one had mentioned this schedule to me. Not sure why he had to start so late. Saturday he shows up again alone about 10 and stays to 6:30. At this point the bathroom is not finished and the fireplace work had not begun. Cris told me they would resume the work again on Thursday. But no one showed on that next Thursday!!!. When I called Cris he said they went to another job.. Just Great! Finally they come on Saturday and have 3 workers so they managed to finish the work then. I also had requested them to repair a very small section of carpet that was not part of the orig quote. The guys showed up 2 hours later than scheduled for that and charged me an extra $120. Cris said he would send me a check for the carpet repair since the rest of the job was less than good. I have not received the check and I have emailed Cris several times about it. I am guessing it will not be sent. The work they did was good, but the lack of customer care and the appearance that once they have the payment the schedule will be up to them without any consideration for the customer. I will not use them again.

Found Floor Hut on Angie's list through recommendations and was not disappointed. Start to finish, Mark Cooke was punctual, professional and clearly an expert as he patiently walked us through our options. The crews showed up on time, were very polite, and did an outstanding job. The demo and install went very smoothly, and when we had questions they were addressed immediately. We did extensive research before deciding on Floor Hut. The value and quality well exceeded what any "big box" store would have provided.

I needed to have the hardwood and carpet replaced in my house so I could get it ready to sell. the work performed was great! The workers were courteous and professional and showed up on time. The final product looked wonderful and the price was better than 4 other companies that I called for a quote.

Dec 2012
Update: It has been nearly a year and I am changing my grade from A to B due to quality issues with the workmanship.
* Several transitions were caulked but the caulking has cracked and separated.
* One transition was not leveled properly and the transition piece started to move/crack (the tile side was much lower and no caulking or shimming was done, creating a "rocking" effect when stepping on the piece).
* The carpet transitions have nothing there, so if you step on the edge of the carpet with bare feet you get poked with the tack strip. In at least one doorway the layout of the pieces is such that the piece touching the carpet is very short, so if you step on it, it starts to crack/come apart.
* The baseboards were haphazardly cut, some door joints have beveled edges, some don't
* The BIG one - in one area the floor was not leveled properly and the floor makes a noticeable clunk when you step down on it. Unfortunately this is in a high-traffic area and near a chair so anytime you step on that area, the end table and/or TV tables several feet away shake and rattle because the floor is moving. The chair pressing down on this area has "pulled" the boards toward the dip, creating gaps in the floor in other areas.
* This one isn't really their fault, but the click-lock flooring has grooves where it was locked together and those grooves are absolutely magnets for dirt and difficult to clean. I feel like the salesman should mention this aspect when discussing various alternatives.
Chris was the salesman, he came to our home on fairly short notice and brought a bunch of samples with him. He explained the various options and was very flexible, offering to reinstall the old baseboards or allow me to provide new ones to be cut and installed for the same price. We aren't planning on staying in this house forever so he recommended a nice soft budget carpet and scraped laminate floor - both of which were quality but affordable, with 20-30 year warranties. He steered us away from the more expensive carpet, stating it wouldn't be worth it unless we planned to raise our kids in this house. We wanted to have the installation done the following week in time for my Wife's baby shower and Chris worked us into the schedule to make it happen, carpet and all! When I signed the contract the folks at Floor Hut were very clear about what my responsibilities were, the likelihood of dust, etc.
The wood installers showed up on-time as promised and worked hard while here. The foreman had a Spanish accent but spoke good English and we had little trouble communicating; he was very professional and answered my questions and did everything I asked him to do (and avoided doing anything I asked him not to do). They took their time leveling the floor. When more leveling compound was needed the installer told me he *could* go ahead and install the laminate over that but the results would be poor, with lots of noise and flexing in the floor - he recommended against it and ran out at 5:30 to grab more compound so they could pour it and be ready to finish the laminate the following day. They cleaned up after themselves well and installed the new baseboards I provided, shimming, making nice cuts, and caulking along all joints and the top (I wish I was that good with a miter saw!).
The carpet installers were slightly late but once they arrived they did the entire job the same day, including disassembling and moving furniture, then re-assembling it and putting it back. We had a small mis-communication on the baseboards in the rooms getting carpet - I thought the quote included installing the baseboards but Chris worked with us to get a crew back out to have it done. He was slightly slow in communication on that point but it was over the Thanksgiving holiday so I don't blame him.
Overall I would recommend Floor Hut; they were prompt, didn't charge for measurement or a quote, and installed the product they promised. So far we have been very happy with our soft new carpet and beautiful laminate floor - it feels like a brand new house.

The process from picking out the carpet to the installation took about a week and a half because the carpet we ordered was not in stock AND I didn't have them measure until almost a week later. I did not shop around for prices because 2 other friends already did that and Floor Hut had the best price and best customer service. Every carpet purchase is upgraded to a free premium pad. The process started with us going out to their showroom and choosing a few different carpets we liked. They then met us out at our house with the samples that I had chosen and to measure the rooms. Once I chose the carpet, they ordered it that day and the carpet was delivered and installed within 3 business days. I could not be happier with the carpet. We've only had it a few months but the quality is outstanding!

We were very pleased with the whole experience with The Floor Hut. We looked at many flooring places in the Plano/Frisco area over a 2-3 month period. On our first visit to The Floor Hut we were immediately impressed with the quality of the flooing products and prices. We felt like we were getting a better product for the same amout of money we were quoted from other places.
Mark was a great salesperson and he did an exceptional job of helping us make some great selections. He was very knowledgeable about all of their products and was very good at understanding what our likes were and what would work well for our home. We ended up selecting one of the more expensive floors, mostly because we liked the color, but there were many very nice options at a wide range of prices that would have all been great. The price we were quoted included both demo and installation.
The crews that installed the wood floors, tile and carpet did a very nice job. They worked very hard and did a good job containing the mess and cleaning up after they were done. Their attention to detail was very good and they were very careful disconnecting and reconnecting appliances and plumbing that needed to be moved.
The end result is just beautiful and we could not be happier with the results. When it's time to do the upstairs, I know where we will go first.
