We had the mid-90's high gloss "goldy" oak cabinets. My wife wanted to lower the sheen. A cabinet maker suggested calling a painter. We called a painter we'd had success with before, and had them start doing the sanding, but didn't like where it looked like this project was heading (blessing in disguise). So we got Laura's contact information from our granite installer (Heritage Stonecraft), and contracted with her to "reduce the shine" After we had the granite installed we realized that we really needed a different cabinet color. The cabinet and granite just became blah. Laura stopped by on the weekend and saw our problem and agreed with the issue and agreed to provide some samples of other colors. We were already on the books for 2 weeks later, and she said she could still fit us in even with the expanded job of changing the color. She was very helpful and professional in working with us on getting a color we liked, and helping us through our panic attack on not having the cabinets "refinished" but faux-finished. Very happy that we used her. She is very busy so you may have to schedule a ways out, but she is very good.
Description of Work: Cabinet work during kitchen remodel - Removed shine and stained cabinets to a different color - Faux finish process also does plastering
