WE GOT SNOWED, big time. We fell for the presentation and what she could do for us for a FLAT FEE paid up front. The pictures of our home were horrible - a big blue splotch was in the dining room picture which made it look like a huge problem on our hardwood floors- it was a reflection from the window. She refused to correct it. She promised 1 or 2 open houses. Didn't happen and then she tried to tell us that I agreed to host it instead of her since it was her Birthday that weekend. (My father was dying on hospice at the time so I did no such thing as I was with him around the clock- he died 3 weeks later.) She didn't advertise our property as she promised and did not follow up with agents who toured our home. We lost precious time with her while other homes near us were selling. She not only took us for the flat fee listing, but we lost thousands more as buyers did not see us for sale with a reputable agent and she did not follow up with any to try and get a contract. She also lied right to us. She stated that she could not do the open house since she would be out of town for her Birthday. The morning the open house was to occur, we sent her an email terminating our agreement. She was over to our house within 1 hour to get her sign and removed us from the MLS listing as well. She took advantage of our situation - dying father and desperate to sell home. She is a very smooth talker. Watch out for this one.
