Custom Marble & Tile

Quality was C-grade.  No better or worse than any other contractor.  The difference with Custom Marble was the lack of professionalism and sloppy business practices.  The owner of Custom, Michael Owen, is very loose about estimates, costs, and timeframes and does not give any indication of the amount of markup he adds for products and services provided by third parties.  Plus, he is quite dogmatic about what he considers the best practice and best look for a project.  Mr. Owen is a one-man shop except for the subcontractors he regularly uses.  The value add for Custom is simply tile installation.  If it's a bigger project, Custom will schedule subs and charge accordingly but bring no other value.  While talented and a hard worker, Mr. Owen is prickly and hard to work with.  I will not use Custom again because I'm getting an average product, not getting a good price, and the attitude and lack of professionalism is exhausting and childish. 

He offered to hit the "bone yard" in order to search for the perfect slab to match my existing marble.  Michael has an eye for design, he's meticulous and unbelievably neat.  He's completely trustworthy and treats your property like it was his own.  I couldn't have been more pleased.  Do yourself a favor and look no further!

The whole remodel experience if of course not pleasant with dust etc...

Mike Owen did an outstanding job of keeping everything as clean as possible.

I never imagined how beautiful the newly remodeled kitchen/living would be!!!!!
