We ended up using someone else, but Carl was very nice and professonal.

First, he had help in removing a very heavy cast iron tub. Then he repaired an existing leak in the drainage. The installation of the two shower fixtures were next. Application of the tiling was next, which took the most time, as Allen insisted on exact leveling of each tile before applying the next. After taking me with him to select the exact piece of granite (color, pattern, and motif) that I liked. He then had that delivered and cut to the precise configuration desired; then he installed the plumbing for the sink, and then installed that granite on the counter and the shower seat. Texturing and painting of the walls followed, and finally the installation of the shower door which had to be specially cut to the unusual configuration. All seams were sealed with clear silicone grouting, and then the bathroom was presented to me for final approval. (This is not to imply that I only had one final approval; he had asked all during the job my opinion of the ongoing project.)

The owner Allan Laduca worked with one partner, and did not sub contract any work out, and they were absolutely wonderful. They gave me on estimate, and it did fluctuate, but didn't change too much. They did everything that I asked, there was nothing too large or too small for them to handle. Allan and his team came behind two other horrible contractors who had stolen $10,000's. They corrected lots of bad job. They were very patient and understanding. I worked on the site with them doing work along side of them for two months every single day and they never once complained! If I didn't know about something they taught me and they were very patient with me. We had a great working relationship. I would recommend them to anyone and if it were not for them I probably would not have been able to finish my house.
