Complete Concrete & Repair

Corey with Complete Concrete reached out to me after my injuriy with Angie's list. He made an appt and was on time. He gave me an estimate promptly and when I accepted he showed up at my house with in an hour to collect 50% down payment. From that point on it was horrible. He said he would start the work in the next few days which turned to weeks. He wouldn't send updates but when I texted him asking status he would give excuse after excuse. Once they finally started he lied to me saying that he was waiting on the city permit. I called the city inspectors office since i know folks there and they confirmed that the permit was only applied for that same day, a week after Corey had said. From there it got worse. The truck used to haul off old concrete made new cracks in the portion of the driveway that was already replaced and Corey denied responsibility. They poured concrete during the rain so there were divets all over the new driveway. In addition, the degree of slope was so bad, my sons and I would trip walking down the drive way. Corey was supposed to install drains along the driveway which he partly. When we originally discussed the job I asked for it to be done one way and he insisted that his way would be better. First time it rained proved him wrong and I asked for the concrete to be removed and repoured and drains done correctly. Part of the problem was that Corey was NEVER once on site but had another contractor doing the work. He didn't over see it at all. During the communication about replacing the poor work Corey raised his voice at me and said he was going to sue me. He shared that he was in court with another client too. His reality of events was so off base. At that point I just wanted to move on or get the work done asap. He asked me for more money, it was clear he was having to collect money to pay for other jobs that he was working on. I had a bad feeling about it and thankfully didn't give him the extra $3000 he asked for. 3 1/2 months later I am still without a drive way and the drains are buried in the ground but not finished. I gave Corey one week to complete the work and would make final payment once done right and he never came back. I have remodeled several houses and worked with many contractors and this was one of the worst experiences, if not the worst. Corey lied on multiple occasions, was not customer service oriented and possibly delusional about reality. It is really sad that there are people who run businesses like this and take advantage of people, especially a single mom. Like anyone, spending more than $10,000 on a project is a HUGE deal and to lose more than half is devastating. Please do not use this company.
