CMD didn't contact me. After 6 days post purchase I contacted CMD by e-mail. Monte responded within 24-48 hours. He said he had pulled this offer, but since I made the purchase, what did I need. Responded by e-mail. Never heard from him again to this date. Notice today the offer remains on Angie's site.

Monte and his crew did a great job on our master bath. Of course it took longer then originally told but that goes with the territory. Any problems that came up were corrected. We recommend CMD, a great job, big thanks to Kelly for our beautiful huge new shower.

I dragged my feet in writing this review, because we really liked these guys!  And, all-in-all, we like our kitchen, but we have some concerns and disappointments.  When I choose a service, using Angies List, I read the reviews and base my selection on these reviews!  That's why I feel it's important that I write my review.  When we wanted to have our kitchen updated, we got 4-5 estimates from contractors from Angies List.  CMD Residential (Monte) was one of them.  Monte was very quiet, but very confident.  I liked him.  There was one particular request that some of the other contractors were not open to dealing with that Monte didn't have a problem with, which was changing our electric stove top to a gas stove top.  We already had the connections, and there was gas in the house.  For some reason the previous owner had the gas line capped in the attic when they had some renovations done several years ago, making it a challenge for our request to be possible.  Anyway, Monte didn't see it as a challenge, and since I liked him, and he had good reviews, we decided to go with him.  He said he and his crew could start on our project the end of October and be completed before Thanksgiving, as we had a Christmas party the first weekend of December.  Monte found a plumber that handled the gas problem without a hitch.  Yea!  The work began slow as it seemed that he had another project that he was working on - didn't see much of Monte, just his one man crew.  Who, BTW didn't bother to cover anything (stained concrete floor [which we later had to clean grout/paint up], refrigerator [which we found damaged and covered up later with a Sharpie], walking all over the counters/cooktop without cover [before and after new counters]).  We felt it was a lack of respect of consideration of our property - would have only taken a short amount of time to cover things up.  This was our first time to have a kitchen remodel - didn't know.  Haven't they done this before - should have known!  Shame on them!!  Anyway, we decided while we were at it, that we would go ahead and have new granite countertops put in to complete the kitchen.  We had a friend that worked for a major granite tile company and said he could get us a discount, so we picked out the tile.  Monte highly recommened a guy that he worked with before and sent him over to measure and work up an estimate.  Monte called back a few hours later and told us the estimate was a little high, but the guy would do a good job.  Since we didn't know anyone else and we trusted Monte, we went with this guy.  We have an island in the middle of the kitchen that has a round sink - this guy said he could save both the kitchen sink and the round sink (both granite sinks).  Well, when he was taking the existing counters out, he broke both sinks!  So, we had to buy new sinks - additional $800 and 4 additional days later installation!!  We were not happy.  So, the counters were installed, we paid the guy, we thought everything was good, he left.  Monte and his crew are slow in finishing up - didn't think they were going to make their deadline.  In fact, they were a couple of days over.  When they came back to do final touch ups, I noticed that there was some paint on my window frame above my sink.  I mentioned it to him.  He said I could get it off with a razor blade.  A razor blade??  I knew how much damage I could do with that - it would look worse.  I told him "wouldn't it have been better to have wiped it off when the paint was fresh?"  He said "yes, I guess so".  Now, it's my problem!?  Is that the kind of attitude I want from a contractor?  Don't think so!  Anyway, the professional we bought the granite from came to our Christmas party and looked at the kitchen and walked in and said "the granite guy is not through polishing the granite!",  and pointed out flaws that we didn't know, but experienced people who work with granite would know.  I called Monte and informed him - he said he would call the guy and let him know.  Didn't hear from Monte, so I called him back and he said he didn't hear from him.  I called Monte back the next week and he said he still hadn't heard from him, but he would take care of it.  I tried to call Monte back, but now he doesn't answer my calls.  At this point, we are faced with calling another granite guy to come over and polish our new granite countertop correctly and pay another who knows what!!  Needless to say, even though we are basically happy with our kitchen, we are not happy with the some of the things that happened during this whole process.

We bought a house we wanted to make some big changes to including removing two walls to open the kitchen to the living room, building custom cabinets and a countertop in the kitchen to create a bar open the living room, painting the dark picture frame  paneling in the living room and installing doors in the master bath where none existed, new wood floors, carpet and tile in the master.   To us, this was a big job for a house we intend to retire in. The wall was my biggest concern. As a structural change it would completely open up the house and change the look in the living room a focal point in our home. We wanted someone that could complete the work within a couple of weeks so we could move from the house we sold while doing a really good job. I had 3 contractors from Angie’s list bid the job. One of them came in and spent as much time looking at what I wanted done as he spent pointing out things we should change replace etc. The other two listened, looked at what I wanted and told me they’d get me a quote. The difference between the two was one of them, Monte at CMD Residential, spent time thinking & talking out loud to his worker and me  about what would have to be done to remove the wall & customize the living room side of the room to make it match the existing picture frame paneling they would eventually paint. Monte was more concerned about doing it right and giving us what we’d be happy with than just closing the deal. His bid was not the lowest. All along he thought ahead and pointed out to me things I didn’t consider. The best part was he did that and never up charged me or tried to up sell. He just wanted it to be right.  Monte & guys work really hard, keep it clean as they go and kept me in the loop on the timeline and what the schedule was. They got done on time and it looks really good. My wife loves what you guys did!

What we did was simply, ripped out the old and put in the new!  This master bathroom was the typical 1960's bathroom, boring.  But no longer.  It is the show place of our home.  The tiles we selected are gorgeous, the shower enclosure is sleek and very stylish, and the granite counter is beautiful.  Due to illness in our house and the death of my mother-in-law, we took a little longer than originally planned.  Monte was very understanding and working with us with all of the scheduling changes.  It was so appreciated by my husband, our family, and me. I grew up with a contractor for a dad.  He always said remodeling a kitchen or a bathroom, puts the test to a marriage!  Our remodel occurred during the holiday season, dealing with the illness and ultimate death of my mother-in-law, deadlines in my business, out-of-town family and a few other 'wrinkles.'  With all of the stresses, we can out intact.  The new bathroom became a sanctuary for my husband. With what he had endured, he needed a sanctuary!  And it's completion just as the out-of-town guests arrived, couldn't have been better!

We are very happy with the work Monte and crew did. They worked for 2 weeks to get everything done. They were here on time and left everything very neat at the end of the day. He was very flexible to any adjustments that we wanted. We think the work is very professional and I like that he was not trying to push anything on us. He did exactly what we wanted done. I would definitely recommend this company in fact I already have. Thanks for making our outdated bathroom into something I can now enjoy.

Monte Bowman and his entire crew were a real pelasure to work with. Any request I made was met with a "we can do that" attitude as well as outcome. I could not be more pleased with the results of their hard work. The thought and care Monte put into every detail of the custom built vanity is evident in the finished product. Kelly was meticulous and detailed in the tile work - to the point that he let me pick where I wanted to place particular tiles. I would not only highly recommend this company, I will use them again myself - CMD is my contractor for life!

Our upstairs master bathroom was in major need of remodel.  The floorplan layout is an odd L-shape that had a lot of wasted space, and this shape seemed to confuse a lot of other contractors we got bids from.  Monte from CMD Residential Contruction had a few ideas of how to change up our layout to make best use of our space, where most other contractors seemed to really struggle with this, so we chose to go with CMD.  His ability to design as well as perform the services made him the best contractor for our job.

Monte and his crew were extremely friendly and courteous.  Our 3-year old enjoyed seeing the progress, and got upset when they didn't come on weekends ("Hey mom, where did my mens go?  We've got to go find them!").  We treated the guys to lunch most every day and enjoyed getting to know them.

The remodel included the tear out old shower and bathtub, moving of plumbing, install new larger walk-in tiled shower, replace windows, install drop-in bathtub and surround, re-texture and paint walls, lay tile flooring throughout, replace baseboards, and install mirror frame.  The project was originally scheduled to take two to three weeks, but ended up extending out to five weeks.  Some of the delays were outside of their control (problems with window subcontractors, two failed tile saws, etc), but as the job stretched out, I appreciated the fact that they didn't try to rush through the job just to get it done.  If going over the time budget was the worst thing that happened, I'm good with that!

We've been very happy with the work they performed.  I truly feel we got a good end work product, and I anticipate using them again in future remodels.

I am a Realtor and CMD Residential Construction updated my client's home and got it ready to sell. We sold this rural home in 18 DAYS in the winter!!! It had everything to do with the fabulous updates and touches that CMD Residential Construction made to this home. The once dated country home, looked fresh and enticing! Buyers quickly took notice. The kitchen went from boring oak cabinets with brass to a magnificent white wash with a tea stain glaze and oil rubbed bronze hardware. The island was painted espresso with a bronze glaze. They also painted the oak bookcase, in the study, espresso with a bronze glaze too. The kitchens and bathrooms looked completely new. They textured the walls and more. Thank you for all that you did. CMD truly helped us sell this home!

I am a Realtor and CMD Residential installed wood floors in my client's home. They had carpet throughout and a couple of small tile areas. The floors are beautiful and the price was extraordinarily reasonable. I am very pleased and will recommend them again. They did a great job!

I am a Realtor and referred CMD Residential Construction to my clients. They did a great job! Here is the email that I received from my clients, "Monte put a door in the boys room. It looks great. He'll finish up on Saturday. He did a great job and we're very pleased with his work. Thank you so much for the referral. We actually have a couple of other projects for him as well." I will continue to refer him with great feedback like this!

CMD Residential Construction has done many projects for my clients, but this work they did was for my personal residence. They were TERRIFIC! They are extremely talented as the custom made cabinet was made precisely to my specifications and it is BEAUTIFUL! I have gotten many compliments and everyone inquires as to where I bought the cabinet. I love it!!! I am very demanding and want very specific things...they were extremely accomodating when it came to my stained concrete floors. I had them stained it 3 different colors AND they etched large diamonds and small diamonds into the concrete as well for me. It is awesome! The faux paint and baseboards are great as well. I love my new room! I will continue to refer them!

I am a Realtor and referred CMD Residential Construction to my clients to do 1 room only. They did not want to spend much money, but wanted to convert the room to look more like a home office. CMD, once again, quickly & effectively did a great job making my clients happy and at an extremely reasonable rate as well. The crown molding was very detailed as the ceiling had angles & was vaulted...and it looked terrific! I will continue to refer them to my clients.

I will definitely continue to refer them to my clients. I have gotten nothing but positive feedback from my clients that have used them. CMD Construction has helped me with my business tremendously! The job went great, and Monte was able to texture the new drywall to exactly match the rest of the room. You would never know that the door wasn't there when the house was built.
