By contrast, a different "A" rated Angie's list roofer had suggested a more encompassing solution that entailed a $1000 estimate, so we went for the more conservative option first. A couple of rainfalls later there was no further damage so I would say that Calumet was able to resolve the issue at a fraction of the cost. The work itself was performed a few days later than I was initially led to believe, but all roofers in the area had been inundated with repair requests at the time and there was no additional leakage due to the delay.

Everything went very smoothly. Rob Burns (owner) was very punctual and responsive. He was also on the property several times each day while the crew was working on the roof. The crew was punctual, hard working and very respectful of our property. Our pool and landscaping were protected and there was no damage as a result of the roofing work. The crew did a great job cleaning up each day, and the final clean up effort was also very thorough.
Overall, an outstanding job...I have no complaints.

I called Rob Burns on January 26 regarding a leak around a roof vent that was allowing water into my attic. He came out the next day, secured and sealed the vent collar, and charged me $35 - which was significantly less than any other bid I had received for that job. After completing the work on the roof, he went into the attic to make sure the vent was completely sealed. He was courteous and professional. I highly recommend him.

Wind had blown the top of our roof vent (turbine) almost off. We also had several ceiling leaks that we wanted to have evaluated. We had Calumet come out and look over the issues and give us an estimate. Rob was nice and hopped up on the roof to look around and secure the top of the vent (turbine). No charge.

We went on vacation and called upon our return to have the work done. I left a message and did not receive a call back. I called again and left a message. Rob called back and I reminded him about the job as he could not find the estimate. He said he would come out some time during that week, but actually showed up the next week on Monday. The job was completed and I believe he did a good job.

All looks good, and I would use Calumet again. It was a small job so I can see how it was a secondary issue if they were replacing entire roofs. The price for the Turbine top seemed a bit pricey given they are only about $30 dollars at Home Depot.

Overall, good service. I dealt with Rob mainly through email. (Which was kind of nice I might add.) Once I reached out about my needs, he came by my house (I didn't need to be there) to determine what was needed. He left the quote in my mailbox. I reviewed and had a few questions which we discussed via email. Then I confirmed I wanted the job done by Calumet. Again, Rob was able to complete the work on my roof in my absence. Once completed, he left the invoice in my mailbox. The service, timing, quality, communication and price were all good and pain-free.

Rob Burns and his crew did a wonderful job. Rob was very professional and honest. Everything that was on the estimate was done beyond my expectations. Insurance did not cover replacing my roof. I was very thankful to find a good, honest and competitively priced contractor to replace my roof.

Just as explained above, Calumet Roofing Services was superb. Will definitely use them again, and I am very meticulous about whom we use and whom we recommend. We certainly recommend this company!

I noticed a very large water spot above the front entrance to my house and some water damage in my garage. I called Calumet Roof Service and within a few days Rob was at my house to provide an estimate. He was very fair and didn't try to sell extra services. He told us what was causing the leak and provided an estimate. I thought the estimate was fair and asked that he go ahead and fix the problems. He came back a few days later and had it not been for the invoice he left behind and the leak being fixed, I never would have know that he had come by to do the work. I would definitely call Calumet again for any future roofing repairs.

Rob has been doing repairs on my house and my rental properties for about 10 years. He's honest and his charges are reasonable. I highly recommend him for roof repair/replacement.

He was able to identify a type of roofing that would give us the best results and stood behind his work whenever we had a problem with the roof. He is very honest and professional and we were so pleased with his work on the small job, that when we had some hail damage, he came back and did the whole roof and was just as professional on that job. There were no nails found in the yard when the job was complete and they cleaned up the whole area beautifully. This is our go to guy for roofing and recommend him to anyone needing a good honest guy to do work around their home. He won the initial job because of all the roofing companies we called, he was the only one willing to come and do such a small job. Good for him though...because we now would trust him with any big job and know he would do outstanding work.

We lost a large area of shingles and a vent collar in a recent storm. Rob was very responsive and came out to do the estimate the next day when other companies where saying it might take two weeks to even get an estimate. His crew was out the next business day to do the repair. It looks great!
