We have used them for 20 years. He was there for about 30 to 45 minutes. The worker was excellent.

I noticed my downstairs A/C unit wasn't working and called Bradtex on Friday morning.  They already had a full schedule for Friday.  Since my upstairs unit was working, my job was not urgent and I scheduled for Monday morning.
Michael Bradley showed up promptly at the scheduled time.  He diagnosed the problem and replaced a failed part in the outside unit.  I asked him to also look at the drain line.  I had been having problems with water overflowing to outside the house.  I had been putting bleach in the line but it was only a temporary fix.  Michael blew out the drain line inside the house.  He also changed the angle of the overflow drain where it came out of the unit to improve the flow.
I was referred to Bradtex by a friend many years ago.  They have always been very honest and done excellent work.

I had to replace the evaporator coil and outside compressor on my upstairs unit. They did a great job! I am very happy with the equipment, which came with an energy star rebate and lifetime warranty. It's is the second unit I had them replace (from the originals, which were 18 years old) and the quality of comfort inside was immediately noticeable. Glen, Patsy, and Michael are great to work with and I highly recommend them.

I have been using Bradtex since 1989. My A/C was sounding much louder as the summer wore on. I called Bradtex for a check upappointment on 08/14/12. The main bearing was going bad in the orginal (2003) unit. They priced three replacement options for me. I picked the 16 SEER 5 ton Amana A/C solution. They scheduled replacement for 08/21/12. They arrived on time and had the replacement complete in about 4 hours. It worked well from the start.

Our upstairs unit had stopped working on Saturday. We suspected a compressor issue. A trusted friend recommended Bradtex as a completely trustworthy company that would not try to up-sell or charge for unnecessary repairs. Monday morning I started working through my list of referrals from friends. The first had a 3 week waiting list for appointments, the second I called was Bradtex and right from the start I was very impressed. Mrs. Bradley took my call and she was more than professional and very friendly. She listened carefully to my description of the problem and asked probing follow-up questions. She gave some good advice to help prevent the unit doing further damage to itself until a serviceman could visit us. She didn't really have any openings, but offered to squeeze us in. Although she couldn't tell us when a serviceman would be available, she did call to let us know when he was on his way. Just from my initial phone call with her, I felt confident that we were in good hands.

Glen Bradley, the owner, took our call himself. They were very busy (lots of 100+ degree days putting lots of strain on everyone's AC) and all of his regular servicemen were booked. Besides the original reason for the service call, I mentioned to Mr. Bradley that despite several service visits from the company that had originally installed our system, we have never had adequate AC flow in the bonus room. So he checked to see how things were installed while he was in the attic checking the rest of the system. He explained why we had this problem and told me what would have to be done to fix the it. He didn't try to sell me on the fix, in fact he discouraged it, as it was an expensive rework on an old system that is just a few years from needing to be replaced. Instead he recommended making the change when it was time for new AC units as it would be a great cost savings to us. (We'd lived with it for over 10 years already, so no rush right?)

Mr. Bradley was very professional. He is a straight shooter and as my friend promised he didn't try to sell us anything we didn't need. This is a trustworthy man who runs his company with great integrity. I would absolutely recommend Bradtex and happily use them again.

A++!!! We were shocked to read the one review posted from April 2010, we noted that the review was written during an emotional time for the client, which we know can impact one's view point. We are experienced and picky home owners, we have renovated over half a dozen homes in the past 15 years, some with HVAC issues - we were EXTREMELY PLEASED to find Glen Bradley and his company. We were beyond IMPRESSED from our first interaction with the BradTex team. We met the installation team while they were installing a new system for our neighbor (who ALSO has been very happy with the system installed). One of the installers indicated that he does work for four different HVAC companies in the Metroplex and that HANDS DOWN he would recommend BradTex. He said they were the most HONEST and KNOWLEDGEABLE that he worked with. We found the owner to be EXTREMELY THOROUGH in inspecting our current system, answering our questions and presenting our options over a two hour period. When we inquired about adding various components to the system, he actually recommended that we NOT include one component that he felt was unnecessary (therefore saving us money $$$). When we first spoke to him, he told us if we would postpone our installation until after December 21st, we could qualify for a Texas rebate and ndash; which we did and it saved us $1,000! I have never heard of anyone that did not want to make the most of a system that is one of the most expensive systems in a home, and who would not welcome the input of an expert. Not only did they call approximately two weeks after the installation to see if we needed anything or had any questions, but we had our system installed in December, and they sent Michael back out in March for an inspection to ensure we were ready for the Spring and ndash; at no expense to us. IF YOU NEED A NEW HVAC SYSTEM and hellip; CALL GLEN and PATSY BRADLEY AT BRADTEX!!

In the beginning (seven or eight years ago), Bradtex was great, but unfortunately, the service got ruder and ruder over time. After what I would consider a lengthy relationship with them, we had an ugly end. We admittedly don't do a great job of taking care of our hvac system (don't change filters as often as we should, etc.), but it became ridiculous how rude and judgemental the tech was when he would come to service our hvac - with the way he behaved, one would think we were neglecting our first born child and not just forgetting to change the ac filter. It was crazy. I mean, we were paying them to service the thing - why would he care whether we take good care of it or not? In theory, they would make more money if we don't take good care of it than if we do. After all those years of using them, we had a rough year including the unexpected death of my father, leaving me rather absent minded. The tech came to do a full clean-out of our upstairs ac unit, left without notifying me (I later found out to get a part - even though this was a scheduled repair for which he had already been out once and I would think he should have known what he would need before he came, since he's already inspected the system once immediately prior to this appointment), so when I had to leave to pick up my child, since I could not find him anywhere, I simply left. He returned sometime in the interim and I received a curt phone call from their office saying that he was finished and needed payment. I told them to leave the bill on my desk, wait for me or I could offer a credit card number to pay over the phone. They elected to leave the bill (I assume to avoid credit card processing charges). I, unfortunately, completely forgot to pay the bill. So after seven or eight years of using them and paying them immediately upon delivery of service, they decided that they would no longer provide service to our family because of a single delinquent payment (for which, by the way, I voluntarily offerred ot pay a late fee - without them even requesting it - to make up for the delay - thinking that it was just the right thing to do since we'd had a long-standing relationship with them and knowing that they are a small family owned business). I simply cannot believe how incredibly rude they were and how unpleasant the technician became over the years. We have since used other hvac companies and been completely satisfied with the service they have since provided - I really didn't realize how rude they had become until I started using a service where the technicians were polite and friendly - in spite of the fact that our ac filters are dirty. I would not recommend a company that would so easily, thoughlessly and unpleasantly sever a long standing business relationship when there are so many other choices out there. I would not recommend Bradtex.

This company actually installed my HVAC about five years ago on a recommendation. I felt like the install was done well at a reasonable price but had to wonder where our relationship was going after I called on them the following season to look at the system. They had told me my first house call would be free, well it wasn't. Then this winter the heat went out. I'm something of a handyman myself so I climbed in the attic and diagnosed that I needed an igniter. Thats a pretty easy call, not hard to figure out. I would have replaced it myself but don't have an HVAC license so I called Bradtex. Well they showed up and climbed up in the attic, climbed back down went out to the truck, came back in the house and said "I've got bad news, I don't have a replacement part". Well I returned to what I was doing. A few minutes later the tech. was standing in the living room with a $133.50 bill. I asked "for what" and he replied "the house call". The case is with the BBB. Avoid this company.
