Terrible. I had already told my home warranty company that I did not want this company coming back out to fix the issue that they created when they replaced the heat pump. However, the home warranty company (HWA) is terrible too, and sent them out anyways. The company called and said tech would call 30 minutes before arrival. Never called. Must have showed up while we were gone (as the only sign we had that they were here is that the home warranty company said they had showed up when I called to complain and they left the pump to the hot tub running). Went out the next day and the pump had been running all night with no water in the hot tub. On top of the terrible service and NO communication, the service technician was extremely rude in his initial interactions with us. I would never recommend this company or HWA home warranties. A total sham and both companies are in it together. Ridiculous!

Terrible! In fact I am surprised to see all the good comments for this company. I would rather deal with AT&T, the cable company and the DMV all in the same day than try to do business with this company! They came out the first time to see what was wrong. No one told me to make sure the parts were assessable so when the guy got here he said there was no way he could check for the problem. I asked him if he would give me a second to get my screw driver and remove the two screws that hold on the panel for him to see underneath and he said no. He told me to do it and send him some pictures. Already I could tell this wasn't going to be a good experience. After I sent the pictures he set up a time to come back and look. Told me I needed a new pump and he would submit the request. I didn't hear anything for two weeks finally sent a text and got a vague response that the pump was on order. Finally, three weeks later they contacted me to install the pump. When the tech showed up he went and replaced the pump and left. He did not come to the door to let me know or show me what he did or that it worked. When I went out to try the hot tub the water wouldn't heat and then the next day I realized the water was now leaking out of the tub. I called and left four messages and never heard back. Finally, after sending a text to the technician I got a call where I was basically told I need to figure out what is going on and then they can tell if they will come and fix it or not (If I knew what the **** was wrong I wouldn't need them!). When I told the technician I didn't know anything about hot tubs he told me (and I quote) "Ignorance is no excuse." I am speechless. I have never had worse service in my life! I finally told him I will figure it out and he said, "Fine" and hung up. Obviously we will never be doing business with this company again.

Their price is on the high side. When I called to make an appointment, the receptionist isn't the friendliest person. When I ask for a time, they just tell me "The technician will call you 30 minute before." That's it. No time frame even. When he came to my house, he called 10 minutes before he showed up to my house. I'm using them for a warranty issue currently. When they have quoted me some work they have told me it will be a couple hundred dollars. I got a second opinion and said at most it would be 75.00 for the same amount of work.

"Blue Star was dispatched a work order from [member name removed] home warranty company. Our technician determined she had an underground leak. The home warranty company does not cover underground leaks. I am not sure of the bid she is referring to, we did not give her one for an underground leak repair as we do not do this type of repair. She also stated that she did not actually receive an estimate, only that it would be around a certain amount from another company. We give all our customers a chance to make a first call appointment in the morning so we know we will there at that time. It is very difficult to give an exact time when we do not know what each job may entail. We also tell our customers that there is no need for them to be there, since the equipment is the back yard and not inside their home."

We have had them for about a year now and overall I have been satisfied. They always get back to me very quickly and are very responsive. The summer goes very well, though, so I'm happy with them, and plan to stay with them. They handle repairs very nicely and quickly. There are many positives to their service.

Called AHS to schedule service for a broken pool pump. Blue Star came out promptly and determined that the housing was cracked / leaking and would need to be replaced. They ordered the part and came back a few days later to replace it. Overall quality of the work was excellent. Also, I am pretty sure the tech even chlorinated / balanced my pool as I had not been maintaining the chlorine level while the pump as broken.

We just moved to Dallas from Chicago, and this is our first experience with a pool. The previous owners recommended this company. We called Blue Star and they were there within a few days. Jason patiently explained the ins and outs of pool ownership. Since then Blue Star has provided routine maintenance and replaced a few items, most covered by our home warranty. We are happy with the services provided by Blue Star, and specifically Jason and Jose.

I met the service person at the house after taking off from work. He helped explain what he thought was happening to the pool and what maintenance it needed from them (little) and me. This is my first pool after moving to Texas recently, and he was very helpful. I will us them again for any repair needs as well as maintenance (DE filter change, as I don't want to do that again!).

They are the service co for my home warranty co. They responded from my call for service at the warranty co very quickly and came out to check the equipment quickly order the parts and then returned quickly to change out the parts

My home warranty service sent them out. I only had to pay my co-pay but under normal circumstances it probably would have been $350. Their response was great and they fixed the problem the first time. Everything was fine. They were on time and they were a good company to deal with. I would absolutely use them again.

This was an insurance claim under the American Home Sheild pool policy. Though my exposure was only a $60.00 co-pay, the loss of the use of the pool during our family reunion weekend was my paramount consideration. This is a new house; we've only been here a week, but the party has been planned for over a month. People were coming in from all over the country. I checked with three local pool services who all quoted me between $600.00 to $900.00 to replace the pump. Even my relatives aren't worth that much. :-) AHS contacted Blue Star for the repair. Unfortunately, normal scheduling couldn't begin until the following week. Knowing I was probably going to be beating a dead horse, I called Brad Privett, the owner. What a relief; the guy was a jewell. I explained the situation and offered to pay a premium if I could get it repaired before the weekend party. Not only did he put someone right on it, he refused any additional premium. More importantly, when the repairman got there, rather than replace a $900.00 motor (I would have never known the difference) he replaced a defective capacitor -- total cost $120.00. Not only was the party saved, but so were the pocketbooks of mine and the insurance company. It's nice to know that there are still businesses and people with a commitment to integrity. When it comes time to convert this pool to a saltwater system, guess who gets the first call?

Seemed to be fine until they switched technicians. The first tech was great, no problems. The second came out very early (6:45 am), talked into his blue-tooth the whole time, seemed preoccupied. When he was supposed to be doing a backwash on the DE, I came around the corner in time to see him kick the top of the 'push down' handle (don't know the exact name for it). The handle flew apart and he turned and looked at me and said "its not my fault". I asked him "how could it NOT be your fault, you kicked the handle and it broke." He shrugged and went on with his work. I called the head office, they had to send someone out the next day to replace the handle. We canceled service immediately.

I filed a claim with my home warranty company, they sent out Blue Star. Although I only had to pay a $60 service call fee, the invoice to my home warrany company was $1100. They came out the next day, diagnosed the faulty pump and other equipment. It took them three days to get the parts in to replace the pump and filter, but they let me know ahead of time. The service tech was courteous and answered my questions regarding other pool issues I was having. I'd use them again for pool repairs.
