It took a larger crew and it took more time. They put it back on and got everything working. They noted that three of the micro-inverters were I not functioning properly. I had noted this beforehand but they did not get the replacement in from the manufacturers until after the system was put back together. They sent a guy out and he replaced the three units at no additional cost. They were still under warranty. The manufacturer had some problems with this particular model. They had to work from what the guys who had originally taken the panels off had arranged. They did the job, had a map of where everything went and it worked the first time when they fired it up. I had no problem with them. They came when they said they would, did the job and cleaned up, generally. They left the place in good order. They were very careful because the roof was new and it was hot in the summer in July in Texas. They took my hose on the roof and ran cold water down over while they worked so that their feet and so on did not move the new shingle around on the tar. They took care to do that. When the roofing company came back to check they looked and there were no marks or anything. They worked over two days, not a full two days, but about a day and a half. I had gotten a quote from a national company and they were within $40 of each other. It worked the first time. They did everything right.
I thought they did a pretty good job. It took them half a day to remove them.
The company I work for has a discount worked out with Sunpower Solar panels.
I got bids from 2 Sunpower dealers Axium Solar and Energyshop and a non-Sunpower dealer Gleanpower from Denton.
The Sunpower panels are great but with my discount still too expensive.
I got bids for 20 panel systems from all 3 dealers. All three did a great job giving me options and advice.
I decided to go with Axium Solar with my salesman Andrew Whitehead.
The process is not quick but Andrew kept me informed along the way. Axium got drawings and specs to apply for HOA approval then for building permits. It took about a month or so to get it all done.
The Axium installers were great. They started on Tuesday and the system was up and running on Friday. This included Thursday off waiting for inspectors. They also installed a plug for my Nissan Leaf so now I can charge faster. I can go to the SolarEdge web site at home or on my phone app to see how my panels are producing.
I am very happy with my system and have produced $180 of electricity as of today. It is a slow payback but the panels are warranted for 25 years.
This was the part that was really nice. I had researched solar systems for over 2 years and my knowledge was very extensive in this field and out of the companies I meet with Rusty was the only one that could keep up with the conversation. I find it appalling that as a consumer I know more about your product than you know and Axium Solar has the best qualified salesman and installers of anyone out there so exchanging information and learning more info was a very pleasant experience.
It took less than a week for the install and that also included them reinforcing my roof. They not only have the best installers but the also have carpenters and handy repair people around. They do it all so if anything is needed they have everyone to assist with the install.
You know what? Don't take my word for it. Learn like I did when you call out the other so called Professional companies and see if they crawl all over you roof and give you shade analysis and talk to you about the pitch of your roof and the difference in Enphase inverters or a 1 single inverter. What will be the difference of a hot day compared to a cold day? What will be the difference in production from the summer months and the winter months? Then make your own mind up. Ask them about the monitor system that you can view to keep up with your production. What kind of warranty do you offer. Do you and your company do a complete install or do you have some 3rd party construction people come out for carpentry work and if the do a bad job do I contact you or am I stuck contacting that 3rd party?
There is more to a system than someone showing up and just asking how many panels do you want up on that roof. It is a terrible feeling to pay for a 5KW system if it only produces 2KW of power because of a bad install or the installer never telling you that you have a bad pitch on your roof your limited to the open sky and you have to much shade to ever produce that much power but and quot;HEYand quot; they will probably install what ever you want anyway just so you can tell everyone you have 2KW producing 5KW system. To the companies I dealt with before Axuim that is all they cared about.
I have told the Rusty over at Axuim that if they come across anyone who wants to talk to an ordinary person like myself who has no stake in the company, no alliances with a company, no family ties to the company then have that person call me. I will let you see my installation or ask what ever questions you need answered. That is how good a job they did for me.
In 3 years my best bill has been $35 credit for 3 months and my highest bill has been $115 last summer. We have a 2600sq FT home and we keep it 77 degrees.
Thanks
Mark from Texas and a loyal Axium customer
