Matt very patiently assessed and evaluated the situation and explained himself in crystal clear language. He answered all of my questions, entertained my fascinated 7 year old, and calmed my fretful wife. He is teeming with confidence and know his stuff. He came up with a totally reasonable plan of action and made us feel very comfortable.
He also did a slow walk-around the house to identify any places where squirrels and rats could potentially enter the house - something we hadn't thought about doing but appreciated his advice. It did not come off as a sales pitch to do unnecessary work.
He clearly explained what the potential problems were, pointed out the gaps where animals could get in, and presented a very reasonable plan of action to make the small repairs.
A few days later he baited and set the fox traps for us. When they trapped opossums and skunks he came over to remove them. Three days later, two grey foxes were trapped. He promptly came over and explained where they would be relocated and what their eventual fate would be: a better life outdoors, away from city life, in the country in East Texas.
The next week he did a great job of filling in all of the places where animals could get in the house; he patched up and painted over everything so it looked as good as new.
We were completely satisfied with his work and have since recommended A Wildlife Pro DFW to others.
About a year later, we called with a question about paw prints we found on our fence. Kat (Katherine) helped us figure it out. We sent her pics; she analyzed them and assured us it was just a house cat, not a bobcat. She forwarded us a wild life paw print guide to help us identify any prints we saw in the future. She was very knowledgable, helpful, and reassuring. And she did it all for free -- several phone conversations, pictures, and email communications just to help out a customer. It was really remarkable. This review is the least I can do to show my appreciation for their service!
Matt is very thorough and looks to resolve the underlying cause of the animal issues you are having. With my most current issue, he looked for the source of entry by following the water into the house as that is what rat's typically follow. He could've just trapped the rats and been done with it, but he does not tackle a job that way.
When he was working to trap my armadillo, he tried 3 different positions for the trap until it was caught. He came out promptly to remove it the same day I called. They also came out and filled the hole afterward, and checked to ensure no additional burrowing needed to be filled.
With the squirrels, he put one way doors in so that they could not get back in and then later sealed them up. In general, I would recommend Matt to anyone experiencing an issue with a varmint. He is thorough and he strives to ensure the animals are not harmed, but your property is protected. I will continue to use this company for all of my wildlife issues.
"A Wildlife Pro" (AWP) is professionally run by a team that are very knowledgeable in trapping wildlife. I used them last year and they were able to capture an armadillo that was damaging my front yard and flowerbeds. Then last December, I was having similar type of damage in my backyard; they were able to tell by the damage that it was most likely not an armadillo, but a skunk. They set the trap with bait for a skunk and captured it.
This year, I had more damage in my front yard, and they were able to capture 3 armadillos, one that was particularly large that was most likely doing the most damage and was being a little difficult to trap. In this process, they set up some guide rails to guide the armadillo in the trap, and used a very strong, reinforced trap; this proved successful in capturing this 3rd armadillo.
AWP periodically followed up as armadillos were being trapped, making sure that the damage had finally been eliminated.
The cost of service also included relocating a opossum that had wandered into the trap, for a total cost of 4 relocations.
I would recommend AWP and plan to use them again if the need arises.
