Plumbing SOS seems to be little more than a dispatch service, yet they give the impression that they have their own employees who will be making the service calls. Instead, from what I could discern, Plumbing SOS only answers the phone and relays service calls to independent, unaffiliated plumbers, while apparently taking a commission for the referral. They have no control over, nor take any responsibility for the quality of the plumber's work, the prices that get charged, or any warranties covering the work. I was charged $500/hour by the plumber that was dispatched to me! The actual work performed by the independent plumber seemed to fix the problem (so far), but I believe that $500 / hour for the type of semi-skilled work that was done was extraordinarily excessive! A case could be made for price gouging. When I called to complain about the prices I was charged, I was met with rude and argumentative belligerence from the so-called "owner" of the plumbing service. I will NEVER call Plumbing SOS again! My advice is to look elsewhere for a plumber.
