They have been excellent and I would highly recommend them. They are very responsive and are right there even on a weekend. They are very professional and I would definitely use them again.

GREAT! The only thing I regret about Ambient is not writing sooner. Our heat pump was installed in 2013. The installation was done with utmost consideration and spotless clean up. Jeff and his team are excellent. Ray stands out as an excellent Tech. If you call for service, be ready early. Someone will usually arrive before the appointed time. We have made warranty calls a couple of times. Oftentimes a company is excited and bends over backward before the sale and is bored and sluggish after the sale. Not so with Ambient. Jeff and company have your back. They have provided expert, prompt, courteous and professional services before and after the sale. Thank you gentlemen for going above and beyond expectations!

Jeff is awesome. He knows what he is doing and is very professional. I would recommend him to anyone! Competency, punctuality and honesty are often hard traits to find in the same company and Ambient has them all.

They were able to set me up for next day service and was 15 mins early. Very professional and thorough and did more than he needed to. Will definitely be using them for our furnace checkup in the fall.

I was with the provider while he was checking the system. He provided information about everything he checked. He kept telling me that if I am telling me too much let me know. I told him I wanted all the information he could provide me. I told him when he finished that he was the first technician in my 25 years of having my HVAC system checked that did as thorough a job as he did.for me. I will be glad to have him check my air conditioning system anytime. He left me his card with Ambients' number,but also his personal number to all if any problems arose. He was very professional and detailed oriented.

Heater would occasionally not come on.  Controller and thermostats were working fine.  Since the problem was intermittent, it was exceedingly hard to pin down what was going on.  After frequent visits and hours of troubleshooting, Ambient gave me their phone number with instructions to call them as soon as it happened again -- essentially providing a 24 hour call out.  As soon as the heater stopped responding to the call for heat, I called them and they came out.  It turned out to be a sticking vacuum switch.  They replaced the switch and only charged a simple service call fee for all of the work they had put in ($79).  Most other companies would have charged at least a few hours for the troubleshooting.

Angie's list stated we would hear from Ambient within a few days. No response was received. So... I called Jeff late yesterday. He returned call (Ambient installed our heat pump - every time I call; response is prompt). Apparently this process is new to them. Jeff apologized for delay. Ray just finished checking our system - all is well. I cannot say enough good things about Ray. He is knowledgeable, professional and courteous. Thank you Angie' List for the good deal. I decided to go with another company for the additional work because the price that they quoted us for was too steep.

The first service visit by AMBIENT HEATING & COOLING LLC went absolutely superbly. Ray Wilkins arrived promptly and checked the AC system locations (I don't know the special "language" or jargon of the AC & Heating world) up in the attic etc for the "pipes" or tubes (for insulation , "sweating", any visual water etc)  before  installing my new fabulous NEST Thermostat System. The installation of the NEST needed to be done before the actual checking of the performance and the condition of the  5 ton AC unit outside. Am at awe of Ray's knowledge and expertise with the NEST system. The physical installation of the unit was done in a few minutes. The WIFI programming took a bit longer, because of the steps needed to be done between the NEST unit and the computer (and one cannot hurry it up). Only after this the operation of the AC system with the new thermostat could be checked. Ray was an amazing "instructor" to a total layman (laywoman actually). While checking the AC system he explained and visually pointed out all different operating parts, their function, possible warning signs (if & when they might appear and what to do immediately to prevent possible larger damage to the unit - and I added: call AMBIENT immediately :-). Needless to say, he checked everything with his meters and other equipment, making sure that the frion (?) levels were good, AMPS from different parts did not exceed the allowed amounts etc etc. My AC got a clean bill of health. It's a 9 years old unit, so am mentally prepared for things to start happening. Am so happy, that I now have a top of the line company to go to when needed. Oh, and Ray did explain about their Service Plan. At the end, my AC is purring beautifully with my NEST Thermostat, which has already shown (24 hours later) to have bettered the performance. Am so very happy with AMBIENT's and Ray's help to give me piece of mind. I wish them great success; they deserve it. Thank you Ray. Brilliant performance.

We had a great experience with Ambient, and will definitely call them in the future.   We were all set & prepared to spend THOUSANDS on a new a/c system.  Ambient came to our house, evaluated our current a/c, and told us we had a lot more life left i our existing unit!  He cleaned off the hoses, and said the unit we had was just fine. 

What a breathe of fresh air in this dog-eat-dog world!   We will definitely contact Ambient for our future a/c needs.

Our downstairs A/C was not cooling.   Since I had recently joined Angie's List, I searched Angie's list for the best choice for an A/C repair company and called Air Tech.   Air Tech told me that the A/C coils had a blockage and needed to be replaced.   They also said that my type of A/C unit was gradually being phased out for more efficient units.   They gave me the choice of replacing the coils with the original style of coils for $3500 or replacing both the coils and the outside unit with a more efficient unit for about $6500.   

Because of the high cost, I called Ambient Air for a second opinion.   Ambient was recommended by a friend.    They had done a minor repair for us about a year ago.    Ambient told me essentially the same story as Air Tech but said that I had a leak not a blockage.   Ambient also said that our unit was an older model that was being phased out.    Ray, the Ambient Service Manager, described my options in ALOT of detail.    He was very explicit about the pros and cons, and recommended just replacing the coils with similar coils and wait until it was absolutely necessary to update the system since technology and regulations constantly change.    Ambient charged $1,950 to do the same work that Air Tech quoted at $3498.      

Ambient arrived at my home on a Friday within an hour of calling them.     They located the coils later that day, picked them up on Saturday morning, and, arrived at my home at 10am as promised to install the coils.    EXCELLENT SERVICE; EXCELLENT PRICE!!
