With a project this large, there were issues that came up during the construction. Although some of this issues were out of his control, Ryan worked diligently to correct in timely manner. Would use and recommend Tropical Pools again!

From start to finish we have been nothing but impressed with Ryan and Tropical Pools of Austin. Ryan was always very upfront about costs, timelines, and communicated quickly when circumstances changed unexpectedly. The whole process took less than 2 months, and that’s with the crazy Texas weather! Ryan and his crew worked hard to ensure we understood the process, offered advice along the way, and worked with us afterwards when we had unexpected sprinkler issues after the pool was complete. Our pool is beautiful and will provide our family with enjoyment for years to come. We highly recommend Tropical Pools of Austin to anyone. We could not be more pleased with Tropical Pools of Austin. We talked to several pool builders that said, "we can do that". Ryan was the first builder to take the time to sit down and listen to what we wanted, and then talk us through those important items that we never thought of. From the beginning, he answered his phone every time we called and followed up immediately with response to our needs. Fulfilling one of our concerns, he and the team helped us ensure limited environmental impact on our trees and creek area the pool backs up to. Pricing was well within our budget, and found out that upgrades from the corporate pool builders are standard at Tropical Pools of Austin. No trying to upsell $100 at a time. Low pressure sale, but high impact results.

Fantastic. Amazingly smooth and fast. Only rains toward the end of the project slowed down the completion from being ahead of schedule. Overall finished when promised. Ryan is a pleasure to work with. We actually missed the frequent interaction with him after the project was complete. But we still call on him with questions occasionally and he remains caring and responsive. We got 3 bids on the project. Ryan was not the highest nor lowest, but he was the best at proposing what we really wanted within our budget. He would share his opinion about choices and options but ultimately made sure we were getting what we wanted. We contracted for a pool and spa with waterfall and around 500 sq ft of additional concrete patio. We are very pleased and fully recommend Ryan and Tropical Pools of Austin Texas.

We met with different pool companies but felt most comfortable with Ryan. The knowledge and experience Ruan brings to the table is far more than the others we met with. He took his time going over our options and walking through all the steps and options available to us. Our final product is more than we thought we would have and has brought many good times to our family.

It was fantastic... I have had some not great experiences with contractors in the past, but Ryan was great. He did everything he said he would do (and then some)... when he said he would do it... and for the price we agreed on up front. All of the work is quality, and I felt like he treated the process as if he were building a pool at his own house (attention to detail). Very Happy

We could not have been happier with Ryan Marsh, owner of Tropical Pools of Austin Texas. When we made initial contact, Ryan was very good about getting back to us and explaining the process of pool renovation. He was never pushy, and we always felt very comfortable taking to him in person and by email and phone. Despite many days of bad weather, Ryan kept things on track to the best of his ability. We never ever felt that we were out of the loop. Ryan encouraged contact if we had any questions, and he would promptly respond by phone or email. He knew everything going on with the project, and was a frequent visitor out here in the country. Ryan had experience with virtually every subcontract job. He was exceptionally knowledgeable and could easily explain things so that we could understand what was going on with the project. I would absolutely recommend Ryan Marsh to anyone. Very nice person to work with.

We had heard bad things over the years with pool companies either not completing the project on time or going over budget or doing a shoddy job that had to be fixed by the owners years late, so I did a lot of research before choosing Tropical Pools. I called six references of clients who had their pools done by Ryan (Ryan is the owner). Our pool came out beautiful! They only took five weeks and cleaned up their debris as they went. They even came out to hose down our driveway and street after a messy day of dirt removal. Ryan walked us through all the choices in a clear, easy to understand manner. He made recommendations as minor issues cropped up. When their sprinkler guy came back to redo the location and spray of the sprinklers, there were some hiccups but Ryan had the guy back out right away. Whenever we contacted Ryan, he got back to us typically within hours. He was on sight often and oversaw each stage. One of the reasons we also went with Ryan was the cost. We wanted a smaller pool (35 feet long, 6 feet deep) and didn't want to pay more than, at first, $50,000. We thought that was plenty of money. =) Out of the three pool companies I called for a quote, one wouldn't even come out because they wouldn't even consider a project that didn't start at $60,000 and another guy came out without a portfolio and made it clear he didn't want our business but was going through the motions. Once Ryan explained how much things cost and we realized we'd have to pay a bit more, we ended up paying about $60,000 instead. We could have paid a little less if we hadn't gone with an upgraded stacked stone fountain feature or longer pool (30 feet is standard). If a day arrives where I've moved and want another pool, I will use Ryan again. I cannot recommend him enough!!!

Pool was designed utilizing a software pack that gave us the ability to see our design and tune it to our desires achieving our look and feel. The design was a perfect addition to our new home and the results look exacting like the proposed design (almost a picture). The pool was built quickly and professionally with our involvement encouraged. Ryan Marsh the owner of Tropical Pools of Austin began building pools in 2002 in Arizona after testing for and passing the state license for residential pool contractors. Unlike Texas which has no licensing requirement for pool builders, Arizona requires both Business Management and Trade specific testing to be licensed in the state. While working in Arizona, Ryan designed and built over 700 pools. The pools ranged in price from $40k to $500k and size from 6,500 to 35,000 gallons. In 2011, he moved his family, a beautiful wife and two beautiful daughters to Austin, Texas and opened Tropical Pools of Austin. Since moving to Austin, he has work with over a 100 pools, personally designing and building over 40. The pools have ranged in price from $58k to $240 and in size from 8,000 to 21,000 gallons. Ryan kept us inform every step of the build process. We began Dec 18th and were filling our 28,000 gallon pool by Feb 20th. Ryan was personally engaged with every detail resulting in a on schedule, under contract cost delivery. It was a very smooth process and we could not be happier with the pool and our granddaughters love it.

I received 4 bids from different pool contractors and ended up choosing Tropical Pools of Austin for a few reasons. Ryan (the owner) was right in line with the price with my other bids, but had incredible detail when it came to the design he showed me on the Pool studio software. The pool design looked great, but Ryan also took the time to give an almost exact replica of my existing covered patio (which is large 40 x 15') and included details of my furniture, fireplace, items on the mantle of the fireplace, ect. which really gave me a visual of what my backyard would look like once completed. So the great detail in the design, the fact that he responded quickly to my estimate request, showed up to our appointment on time, and was very professional were all plus's for me. Ryan communicated with me throughout the process so I always knew what was going on. He was also on sight almost everyday to make sure things were being done right and to minimize any possible problems that may arise. The detail Ryan showed on the design carried on throughout the project with every part of the project. One of the the things we were having Ryan do for us was level our existing concrete patio so it wouldn't slope so much. When we got to that phase of the project, we found out the slope was a little more than expected and instead of being able to put a layer of thin coat to raise the level, Ryan and the concrete contractor decided it would be best to tear out the existing patio and pour a new patio that connected to my pool decking all in one pour. By doing this, it removed the possibility of my patio cracking over time. This was an unexpected change and Ryan didn't ask for any additional money to do this, he just said "its the right way to do it" and he just wanted to make sure it was done right so I wouldn't have the potential for an problems in the future. There were several times when Ryan made small improvements to the project and never asked for additional money. You can tell his main objective is to make sure the customer is happy and that he is providing a quality finished product. I would highly recommend you get an estimate from Tropical Pools of Austin. You are going to get a lot more bang for your buck with going with a smaller pool company, especially with someone like Ryan who knows what he is doing and how to build a great pool.

The construction of the pool went really well. The crews were very punctual and kept the premises extremely clean during construction. They hauled off all of the material that they didn't use and the quality of the work they did was excellent. I was very impressed that the owner was onsite virtually every day that his crews were here and he always kept me up to speed with their progress. They finished everything up much earlier than anticipated which was just a bonus to the service and quality construction that we received. Once everything was complete we received a very informative class on the operation of the system. I would certainly recommend this company to anyone looking for a reputable pool installer.

Ryan was awesome to work with from start to finish.  I almost waited too late to start the pool build while my new house was being completed.  I contacted Ryan, and he showed up in a matter of a few days to take a look at where the pool will go and to show me his past work and some ideas.  I considered other pool companies but chose Ryan because my builder had nothing but great things to say about him.  He gave me in-depth illustrations of what my finished product would look like and even entered the plans for my house so I could see exactly what it would look like behind my house!  Once I committed to the build, I gave him a deposit and a signed contract.  He literally had his crew there the next day digging the hole.  At no time was he ever behind schedule during the build, and everything he said he would was accurate.  He actually had to slow down on the build because they did not want to finish the pool too early and end up with the sub-contractors from the house construction throwing trash into my new pool.  He made sure that he paced the build of my house so they were completed at the same time.  The pool and hot tub came out better than I ever imagined, and once I moved into my house he scheduled a time for "pool school" so he could show me how to run everything and take care of it.  He also took care of my "Kool Deck" around the pool to keep from having hot feet in the summer months.
Ryan was spot on with the entire build, and I was never left wondering if I was going to get ripped off.  It was an expensive build, but he was very competitive with other pool builders.  I would absolutely recommend him again, and I wouldn't hesitate to use him again if I ever needed another pool built.

The final product turned out very nice and we couldn't be happier.  Ryan is very knowledgeable and gave me key, important information to help me make the best decisions - economical & feature wise.  He was very good at providing me multiple options.

We were in regular contact throughout the process and he would meet with me late evenings if needed to discuss the any questions I had.

I am very happy with Ryan and the team's work and would recommend him to friend.  He takes his business seriously and cares about his customers.

Ryan is one of the owners and he owns every aspect of what went on with the build. He had us swimming a month and a half earlier than expected (the weather worked in our favor) and he is involved from the word go. He met with us, designed and was involved daily or working on the pool until completion. Ryan had excellent recommendations to fulfill what our family was looking for in a pool area and I could not be more pleased. I highly recommend Tropical pools if you are looking for straight forward and honest service.

Ryan did an excellent job on the pool and finished well within the window of promised.  He was fantastic to work with and was amazed that he was on-site for the entire duration of the pool construction process.  I couldn't have been happier with the work that he did!

I couldn't have asked for a better experience.  Ryan really takes care of his customers - before, during and afterwards.  He's willing to go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied and is more than willing to help you even after the pool is paid and finished... not a common quality with most businesses.  Like I mentioned before, he coordinated all of the work from the landscaping, sprinkler system and audio.  That was really important to me and he made sure all of that was done to my satisfaction, it was a huge relief not to have to worry about any of that.  He's got a great relationship with the landscaping company and they went above and beyond to make sure I was happy too and that was because Ryan works with a fantastic landscaping company.  I looked at several pool builders and had several bids, I made the right choice going with Tropical Pools of Austin and I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

How did it go?  Let's put it this way....  I've lived in TX for 5 years now and have read ALL the reviews for every pool company.  I had given up.  The one thing I'd wanted my entire life, a pool, was just not going to happen.  Not one person had all good reviews and some of them were horrendous. Another company built my neighbor's pool and with all the issues she had I was for sure not going to go with them. 
Then one night I stumbled across Tropical Pools of Austin.  No bad reviews, only wonderful ones.  And they were all correct!  Ryan was nothing short of awesome! Professional, accurate, knowledgable, easy to work with and easy to get a hold of.  I don't think there's another company out there where the owner answers the phone or calls you back in such a timely manner. 
Not only is Ryan highly skilled in pool building, he does all the plumbing himself which is just more assurance that nothing will go wrong.  He was ALWAYS on site when anything was happening and always inspected everything himself. 
I should add, there is another house in our neighborhood who still has the gunite forms up - both pools were started at the same time and ours has been done for months.  And it's July 10th. From dig day until filling the pool day was exactly 5 weeks.  Ryan stays on top of everything and does an awesome job of it!
My husband was skeptical at first as I'm the one who's always wanted a pool.  He has since said numerous times how much he loves it and how we're living in our own little paradise.  He's also swimming in it nightly :-)  The multi-colored pool light lights up the whole backyard in the most amazing display of colors with different settings. As gorgeous as it is during the day, at night it comes alive!
There is nothing I would do different after this experience. I'm so happy I stumbled upon Ryan and now have my literal dream pool!  Ryan is first class and I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone wanting their own personal oasis.

Tropical pools did a great job building our pool.  Ryan and Scott are trustworthy guys.  They will do what they say they will.  They answer or return calls promptly.  They show up on time.
We told them what we wanted and they delivered.  Ryan makes up a great digital design plan to let you see what the pool and landscape will look like before you build.

Tropical Pools of Austin, TX. does a phenomenal job of working with the homeowner, do what
they say they are going to do, and provide a top rated pool.  I highly recommend Ryan Marsh (owner) /Tropical Pools of Austin, TX.
We had originally contracted another pool company Texas Custom Pools, which winded up
taking all of our money, doing partial work, and not completing the pool.  What workmanship that they did do, was somewhat left to be desired and a lot of that had to be redone, or replaced.
I would strongly recommend when selecting a pool company, check references, check
Angie?s List, converse with other folks that have had pools built, definitely do your due diligence.  It is a big investment and you don?t want to have to pay for it twice and unfortunately in the state of Texas there is ?NO? governing entity that over sees pool builders and from a legal stand point of view, not much there either that can be done. That also can turn into a big money pit.
So with all of that being said, I was really hesitant to have to start all over again with another pool builder after what we had just experienced.  We meet Ryan Marsh, explained everything that we had just recently went through and basically explained to him that we really didn?t want to have to go through all of this again.  He sympathized with us and told us that he would work with us every step of the way???????.AND HE DID!!
He worked up a quote for us to finish the pool, which consisted of having to pressurize and validate the plumbing that was in the deck, plumb everything external to the pool equipment, redo the spill way between the hot tub and pool, replace quite a bit of the coping, provide and wire up all pool lighting, plaster the entire pool and hot tub, and provide and set all the pool equipment and validate correct operation, and then educate us upon taking care of a brand new pool.
He worked with us financially every step of the way, he did EVERYTHING he said he was going to do, and quite honestly it really
turned out to be somewhat of a pleasant experience.  Ryan ran into some additional snags that we weren?t expecting, like a leak in one of the skimmer pipes that was already buried in the concrete decking, and he was able to get a leak detection person
out there to pinpoint almost exactly where the leak was for minimal deck demolition and reconstruction.  Ryan and
Tropical Pools did a FANTASTIC job every step of the way, kept us well informed, was out there every day working
letting us know what all was going on, and had us in our pool within 4 to 6
weeks.
There have been a few follow-up issues and Ryan has been there quite expedient to get these fixed and wrapped up.  These guys
are definitely a GREAT company to work with and will be there every step of the way during the pool construction and will also be there every step of the way when the pool is finished and something needs to be fine-tuned.  These guys are here today, tomorrow and in the future whenever you need them.
Would I recommend these guys ? ABSOLUTELY!!
