+ 0 moreWill Not stand behind his work!!! Blamed Marazzi tile! Said the tile was defective & after being tested by two different tile inspectors the tiles were Fine! The installation was awful! Several months have passed and it looks like we're stuck with bad floors on a brand new custom house! Refused to give us his insurance information. The subs he had working stole several boxes of tile too. More than disappointed ! After he was paid he became very cocky and Rude!

+ -1 moreAfter some terrible experiences with other contractors who made huge mistakes, did not return calls or did not show up, Charles was wonderful to work with. He answered the phone, made an appointment, kept it and his workers were punctual, tidy and completely professional. Previous homeowners had put mortar and tile directly on the plywood subfloor. Charles's guys scraped off the mess, leveled the floor, installed the hardword and beautiful transiton pieces leading to the living room and hallway. All at a reasonable cost. Could not be more pleased and will definitely call again in the future.
Description of Work: Installed a hardwood floor in our kitchen.

+ -1 moreCharles is very personable and is eager to help you out in any way he can. His crews are like family which is probably why they've been with him for so long. If you can get on their schedule, these are the guys to do your tile.
Description of Work: We had selected a Italian porclean tile for our living areas, office, kitchen, laundry, and bathrooms with no one to lay it. I got a couple of bids with Charles being the lowest and sounded like he knew what he was doing (30+ years). One thing I really liked is that he's had the same guys for over ten years. First they had to tear out all the carpet and about 900 sf of ceramic tile. As they were removing these surfaces, they started noticing how screwed up the slab was with holes here and humps over there. When they started laying the tile, instead of floating it out (which would have cost a lot more and looked weird at the baseboards), they leveled as they went with thinset. This takes A LOT longer, but the results make a huge difference. By the time they'd finished, it had taken them twice as long than was estimated. There was a little extra cost for labor and lots of extra thinset. But in the end, we saved some money and we're more than satisified with the product -- the tile floors are magnificent!
