I think they are a little expensive. And we haven't gone through the service yet, aside from what they did on day one. We'll see how the follow-up is.

They do a thorough investigation. They are excellent. They clean up after themselves. They are good people.

Orkin was my pest control company for the past two years in Austin Texas. I have paid Orkin thousands of dollars for service over this period to include termite service, squirrel removal service, mosquito service, and pest control. Orkin claimed to perform all of this work for me, but failed to complete the work correctly. I continued to have problems with squirrels and pests (scorpions, spiders, and such) and continually mentioned these problems to Orkin. In my most recent visit from Orkin (December 2011) I was informed that there were entry points into my house that squirrels were using and that these areas need to be blocked (which was supposedly done when I originally paid over $600 to have the squirrel problem fixed). When I was notified that the entry problem still existed I contacted Orkin and spoke with a manager about having the issue repaired. The manager told me the only option was to charge me a second time to perform the work I was told was completed the first time. The manager explained to me that the work originally performed seemed to be only partial due to the low fee (he actually thought $600.00 was a low fee) but could not say for sure as he was not the manager at the time of the original repair. He informed me that the only option I had was to have Orkin come back out, give me an estimate, and recharge me for the work. This is of course ridicules as Orkin should have performed the work correctly the first time or fixed any defect resulting from the first service.

First of all, I am a disabled veteran from the United States Army and $600.00 is not a low fee, it is over half of what I receive in disability per month. Second, I work hard for my income and expect to receive proper service for the money I pay. Third, I have been a loyal customer to Orkin for over two years, spent thousands of dollars on them, and hoped to be treated fairly by the company. If you like to waste your hard earned money, if you like being treated poorly, and if you want to be taken advantage of I recommend using Orkin. However; if you are like me and value your hard earned money, feel that a company should treat you with respect, and feel that a company should complete the work they charge you for I recommend that you stay far away from Orkin.

I have found them to be very reliable and eager to do a good job. They are punctual and flexible with service times, special conditions and requests. As with any contractor you need to work with them to make sure they are aware of any unique circumstances. It is also important to ask questions and do research to make sure best known practices are being used to treat your problem.

They were on time. They were polite and seemed to be knowledgeable. The problem was that it did not work. I don't know if they did not spray enough or what the issue was but there were bugs, cockroaches, spiders still in the duplex. It may have been the tenants. I don't know. All I know is that the tenants were not happy and it did not seem to work. They were kind of pricey. As for punctuality they were generally on time when they scheduled things because I had at one time paid them $600 for one year and they were always on time and they came five times in one year. They were very professional. They had their uniforms on, very respectful, seemed to know what they were doing. However I will not be using them in the future.

We bought our house five years ago and the lady who lived here before us used Orkin, so we just kept using them. We live in a greenbelt area, so some sort of pest control is mandatory, as far as I'm concerned. The same guy has treated this house for something like 18 years. He's very nice, professional, and calls each time the night before he comes out so we can be here if necessary. We've seen a stray cockroach once or twice, and we call Orkin, and the guy is out the next day (we've only called in the evening... presumably they could make it a same-day appointment). We've never had a recurring problem; the guy who comes out does enough to prevent more bugs. This house was treated for termites many years before we owned it, and Orkin monitors those areas regularly. We did notice some termite damage in a new area the day after the termite inspector came (he apparently didn't notice it). They came out a few days later and injected the concrete with their remediation stuff, and we haven't had any more problems. They seem a little pricy at about $30/month, but I'm happy to not have bugs, so the cost is justified. I'd rather pay a little more and avoid a problem than have a cheaper company who has to come out all the time because their techniques aren't working.

The workers from Orkin are very thorough. They look everywhere for pests. They back up their work. They give me quality service and I appreciate that. Their prices are a little high.

They know what they are doing, first of all. They're conscientious about figuriing out what needs to be done and then doing it.

They were very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. They were also very responsive and thorough. They did a good job and the termite problem is under control. The price was reasonable.

Will update after I speak to a Manager again.

Great experience. Their representative was courteous, professional, and thorough. He helped me to understand which areas were most likely to have trouble in the future. He was careful to minimize the damage of trenching and drilling for access to the entire foundation perimeter. He also treated the plumbing access areas in the bathroom and utility room. His supervisor came by to inspect the work. Although their price is high, the work is truly first-rate.

We have a contract with Orkin and have not had any pest problems since using them. They came out when they were supposed to and they did a very good job. We have been using them for about eight months now, and we don t see any reason to change. They keep us very happy.

ORKIN DID A SUPERB JOB IN TREATING OUR HOME FOR ALL SORTS OF PESTS. THEY LEFT INSECT TRAPS UNDER THE SINKS IN BATHROOMS AND KITCHEN. THEY WERE PROMPT AND EXPLAINED EVERYTHING TO US IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER.
