Jeff is very knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous. He took the time to explain the repair and show me the problem and then fixed it quickly.

Took a recall to get it right. Work was not complicated and everything should have been performed first visit. Cleaning lines is simple and routine part of maintenance; should not be a complicated nor expensive process for a professional technician.

J&J installed our upstairs AC unit during new construction in November 2009. Starting in March, AC was not cooling the upstairs - we had to work with J&J since they were supposed to have a one year warranty on their work. After 7 - 8 visits over the last 6 months, they have given us varied responses on the problem, then said it was a broken coil, then we spend $800 replacing the coil (they would not cover it under their so called warranty), now it is broken one month later and now they say it must be a leak. They proposed punching holes in our brand new kitchen which would have potentially caused cabinet and backsplash damage. They were quoting at least another $1000 for repairs. We called in another company and they immediately diagnosed our problem and recommended a much simpler/cheaper solution that would not incur any damages requiring wall or decor repair. They also mentioned that the free-on or coolant was not asessed properly so they even provided an mediary solution to get the AC working while the other long-term repair gets planned. During our 6 months of trying to work with J&J - it took many days for them to return our calls and with 100+ degree days, that is unaccepatable. Even when we reached them and scheduled appointments, they would be a "no show" causing another process of calls. We were ripped off by this company and we are lucky we decided to wake up and call someone else instead of spending even more to potentially not solve the problem and cause damage to our home - I would not work with them.

Doing some kitchen remodelling and opened a doorway that further exposed the wall return. It is unsightly and wanted to update and place the return vents into the ceiling. Jeff responded quickly to the service request and was out the same day to provide a quotation, which was accepted. Work began promptly the next morning first thing and was completed before end of the day. It was 24 hours from quote to work completion. Jeff has been our sole HVAC service provider for the last several years. We are planning on using J&J Mechanical to replace our unit in the next year.
