HANDY DAN - HANDY MAN

Dan arrived promptly as promised -- on only two days notice! -- and installed per the manufacturer's installation instructions the two four-foot by eight-foot, 1,000 lb. capacity steel overhead storage racks I had previously ordered. He installed the racks above the garage door with about a two-and-one-half foot drop from the almost 11-foot high garage ceiling in my two-car garage in Sun City. While the price he asked for the installation was a good bit higher than I expected, it was well worth it given his almost immediate availability and the quality of his work. In addition to a per-rack installation charge, he also required a trip fee that I thought was reasonable. His final charge equaled the quoted price.

1.) I asked him to fix the door bell, he went and bought a cheap door bell kit at the hardware store, the ringer fell off and the ringer was also too far away too work
2.) front porch light, he installed a new front porch light kit that I cannot put the cover on because the screen door would hit the light cover.

Dan completed the job in a timely manner, working around weather conditions. He removed all debri material and offered several tips on other maintenance issues.

He was very good and professional, if he didn't think he could do the job he would tell you. I would definitely recommend and hire him for his handyman work in the future.

I would give them an A overall.

He was very good He is a good man and I hope to use him again. He had a very fair price; is personable and trusting. I did not have any problem. I would definitely use his services again in the future, there's no problem.

Dan was very professional. He showed up on time and performed the work that was asked of him. He didn't complete the job on the first day, but he showed up early the next day to finish. He was very nice and respectable. He didn't want to track dirt into the house to he would always stand in the doorway which was very thoughtful of him. Unfortunately he didn't have one of his helpers with him so he took a little longer then estimated. He was a little pricey, but the quality of his work was worth it.

Dan's plan was sound, and he is always polite. He was able to reduce the size of the frame and install trim to make it appear as if it were the original design. Scheduling the installation was a problem. Given that he had to make modifications, he deserves some latitude for having to adjust his schedule. However, he missed the first scheduled appointment as my wife waited. She had a difficult time then rescheduling the appointment. Eventually most of the work was completed, except that the latch for the lock was never installed. He had said that he needed to find the router part to complete the project. My wife called him several weeks later, and he said he would call her back. Six months later, the lock still extends directly into the door frame rather than a latch. The gel stain he applied to the exterior of the door has peeled off in several spots, which looks very unsightly. It appears that it should have been coated with a waterproof coating in order to withstand the elements. I would expect that he could have foreseen this problem and recommended a different approach.

I am disapponted with Danny's work this time. While he did some good work, he failed to complete the job, and the lack of communication created several frustrations.

Dan was out of town, but his cohort, Vincente Juarez, came. He was punctual for both his estimate and his work the next day. He did an excellent job replacing a window, cleaning out the gutters, and adding a downspout (painted to match the rest of the house) to direct rain away from the house. His estimate was in line with others that we got and he did not add more costs after he was finished. We have more work that needs to be done and will use him again.

We paid around $60 per hour for his services. We could give them things to do and if it took less than an hour, we would find something for him to do. We gave him a list of removing concrete with some old metal fences, some wood working to fix, put in a new fan over the stove and they had various people who could do different projects. They were very professional on the phone and in coming here.

He is excellent and his work is great. He did everything I asked and took care of it. I spent $550 on that work. He was straightforward. He seemed like a really honest guy.

Simple job, but Dan was very professional. He arrived as scheduled and with a helper.. I plan on using him again.

They will try to send the same guy or girl back out so that is consistent and you know who is coming to do the work. They came when they said they would be here, they cleaned up very well and they guy was very conscientious.

Other than the miscommunication, wanting a reduction and not getting it, the job was done fairly. He completed all the things on my list. Even the ones I did not want. But he did a good job but in our opinion too high priced for the work he did.

Outstanding experience. Can't speak highly enough about the quality of work, professionalism, and punctuality. Returned my initial request promptly, was ready to work the next day, and had everything completed in a reasonable time frame. Very personable and takes time to ensure that the job is completed to my satisfaction. Would highly recommend and intend on using him again as future needs arise. The only reason I gave a "good" for price vs "excellent".....is because every consumer is looking for something cheaper. HOWEVER, you get what you pay for...and I would hire Dan again, without hesitation, at the prices quoted. If anything goes wrong with his work in the next 30 days, I can call him back at anytime to make it right. Try finding that with your "fly by night" folks.

Dan does a very thorough job. He is pleasant, punctual, and honest.

They do the job very well. They are very prompt and very efficient. They are so good that they give you goose bumps. I would rate them highly - I wouldn’t hire anyone else.

Dan showed up on time. Got right to the job. Was very nice man, felt very comfortable with him in our home, and he did a great job. Even took old lighting and boxes out to the trash for me. I am very happy with his work and will be contacting him for all our handyman needs.

Gold star in the middle of the forehead. He hung them and then confirmed how low I wanted them. Took a couple hours to complete the work as there was quite a lot of packaging to go through, assembly and wiring, not to mention hanging. He was on time, skilled, and cleaned up beautiful. Would recommend him any time.

He did it all by himself in a timely and neat manner...very efficient and helpful.

I think this handyman did a really great job. He repaired or replaced everything that needed any kind of work. He is a very honest person and the quality of his work is neat. I had no problems or reason to complain about him. The price of the whole work was very competitive. I give him really good ratings because he did a great work.
