The salesperson was prompt and sent me a bid by email. There was no mention of the 10% ad discount on the bid. When I called to ask about it, I was told that the price quoted included the 10% discount after a too long pause of silence. Doing some reverse math, the bid would have been a very odd number. If a company offers a 10% discount in a printed ad, the bid should reflect the original price minus the 10% so customers know they are actually getting it. Because their bid was almost exactly the same as other companies without the 10% discount, I felt that the ad discount was not given. Despite all that, I called the main office to schedule service. The person answering the phone was indifferent, couldn't give me a definite install date and told me to call the salesperson back. I did and never received a return phone call. Called the office again and was told they had no openings for three weeks. Since time was of the essence, I moved on to another bidder who gave me much better customer service, could schedule the service within three days and acted like they actually wanted my business. I was willing to pay a bit more for better service and response. The salesperson gets an A for showing up on time to assess the job, but a responsiveness D for lack of follow-up. Please get someone to answer your phones and schedule jobs who sounds like they enjoy their work.
