When Texas Gas arrived to inspect our hot water heater after gas had been turned off, he "red tagged" our hot water heater, explaining that it was not up to current City of Austin code regulations. We got a couple of bids, with one suggestion of an elaborate and more expensive scheme of creating a release valve. Greg Martinez of G & M Plumbing had a better solution and a reasonable bid. Greg Martinez and his assistant were very knowledgeable and professional and completed the installation work efficiently. A COA inspector came out to inspect the work and suggested adding some brackets on a pipe.  Greg Martinez came out and quickly installed the brackets free of charge. We couldn't be more pleased with the work and we will definitely call G & M Plumbing for any future needs.

This is the first time we've used them but I've been talking to them and I've had some consults within the past 6 months. They came out, gave me a free estimate, handled everything, and they're finishing up.

Eric Martinez came to our home to do a hydrostatic line test on our plumbing after our foundation repair. 
He found that we had a leak in our pipe and we did not pass the test.  He arranged for his father, Gus, to bring his camera out to our home the next morning.  Their fee for snaking pipes with a camera is $250.00
 Gus arrived early and proceeded to set up his camera equipment.  The camera entered our house pipes through the cleanout drain.  The crack was found within two feet of the cleanout (just outside our foundation!).  It was apparent on the camera that the leak WAS NOT caused by our foundation leveling, as tree roots were growing inside the pipe. 
 Gus and his assistant promptly fixed the cracked pipe.
 Because the crack was so close to the cleanout (within 2 feet of initially snaking the camera) Gus did not charge us the $250 fee for using the camera.  We paid $251.73 for him to repair our pipe -- a VERY reasonable amount!
 Both Eric and Gus were very friendly and professional.  I plan to use their services again for our Master Bath remodel.

They did a good job and they were very efficient. I received several estimates and one was as high as $8,500. G & M Plumbing was able to complete the work for $2,400.

They have worked on our rental house a couple of times. Once it was to repair a leak...they were able to come out quickly and repair it in a timely manner.

After having my foundation leveled, G & M was the plumbing company contracted by the levelers to perform a hydrostatic test. During the first test, the drain in my hall bathroom tub showed that it was leaking. The sad part is that I would have to tear apart a nicely built vanity in the master bathroom to get to the drain. Eric worked with me to identify where the pipes were, and gave me an estimate for the repair (if the vanity was removed). I decided to weigh my options, and asked G & M to give me some time.
I tore out the vanity the following day, and Lucy called to check on how the job was going, and to see when it would be good to send someone out. Since I was working from home that day, she said that they'd have someone out on the same day, if I was ok with it not being a scheduled time (basically, whenever they could get to me). 
Sure enough, Gus came by later in the afternoon with an assistant, and they had the drain replaced in short order. They were great about showing me what was wrong, what they were doing, and they were even great with my dog. They ran a second hydrostatic test, and everything passed (which they reported to the leveling company, for the warranty on the foundation). The total came out to be under what Eric originally quoted, and I'm very happy with the work.

They worked fast, kept me informed, and did a good job.

My family's business consists of buying old houses, remodeling them and then renting them out. As is fairly common with houses built in the 1970's, the water pressure in the main water lines are too high, the shower fixtures are shot and old fixtures need to be updated. We have used G & M Plumbing on about 7 different occasions now, and are extremely pleased with their responsiveness, knowledge and professionalism. This is a family owned business that doesn't try to sell you services that you don't need, and if asked, Gus or Eric will take the time and effort to explain what and why they are doing what they are doing so that you can learn a bit about how plumbing systems work. They seem to be honest people trying to make an honest living, and that's something we have really come to appreciate in this business!
