Great service from ordering through installation. Chris extended an Angie's List discount and also worked with us on cost-effective options for a large patio door. He let us know about manufacturer specials and rebates, which we used. Our blinds and shades are great additions to our new-home investment.

Chris was the only person who succeeded in fixing my blinds! I wish I had called him first.

Chris was on time and meticulous in ensuring not only that they were at the right height, but consulted me prior to hanging the first one to ensure we got the intended effect.  Specifically, we purchased black out and the measurements that were provided were an inch shorter than they should have (this was performed by another provider) so we lowered to ensure no light came in at window sill.

Chris is very courteous, professional, and friendly!  After speaking briefly on the phone, we booked an appointment for a Monday morning.  He arrived as scheduled, and evaluated what needed to be done to repair our mini-blinds.  Although due to another commitment, he did not have time to finish all work in the originally allocated hour, Chris returned shortly after to complete the job.  All repairs were done on-site. His rate was very reasonable for the supplies and time spent working.  I'd highly recommend him, and I would not hesitate to call him again for either new window treatments or for repairs.   Great job!

Chris arrived on the date and time per our phone
conversation. He carefully took measurements for 13 windows as I was replacing
the older blinds for an updated and fresher look to our home. I made the
decision on which blinds I wanted and he stated it would take approximately one
week for the blinds to arrive. He called when the blinds had arrived and asked
what day would work for the installation of my new blinds. Once again, Chris
arrived on time with his assistant to begin installation. What is more amazing
than his punctuality is the fact that he had hurt his back but he wanted to
ensure the job was completed as promise. I appreciate and admire such
dedication to ensure his customers receive the goods and services as promised.

Very professional measurement and selection process.  Practical input and questions provided for guidance in making selection. Order and installation was timely; consistent with verbal promise.  Installation was professional, courteous and neat.  Old blinds and window treatment was removed and taken away consistent with instructions.

Chris is such a nice guy.  We are new to the area and he was happy to answer many of my non-blind related questions.  He kept me updated on the delivery of our blinds and was able to install them the day after they arrived.  He and his son installed a house full of blinds (15 windows) in about 2 hours.  Chris noticed a defect on one of the valances and called to order a new one, he came by the next week to install it.  All in all, a great experience.

It took 24 hours to make sure the glue dried OK, but the shutter looks like new and we were so happy this job was not too small for him.

all went great, Chris came by one day to let me look at the options, I chose, he ordered, they were in within ten days installed and completed, great service by Chris adjusting and making sure everything worked.

Replacement of mini-blinds with faux wood blinds went so well in family room that project was expanded throughout the house.  Vertical blind replacement with wooden valence finished the interior of the kitchen remodel done 5 years before.  Full consultation and convenient scheduling was present throughout the project.

Bottom line the job was handled promptly and professionally and what appeared to me a very reasonable price.  Chris really sweats the details so that when the job is completed all the blinds and treatments operate exactly as they should, looking sharp.  He is quick to repair the items that are repairable instead of trying to up-sell new merchandise.  We have known Chris for close to 20 years and are fortunate to have him as part of our team.  Custom Touch makes us look good.

For the third time I called Chris to help us put some new shades in one of our houses.  This time we needed some shades replaced on some doors leading to our porch which has very large windows.  The previous owners had installed some shades that they had made in an attempt to match some Hunter Douglas blinds that were already in the room.  Chris was able to get us some new Hunter Douglas shades that look exactly like the ones we currently have.  He came out to the house the day after I called him and had things totally up within two weeks - which is the time it took to get the order from the manufacturer.  As usual he was courteous and install all the work in a totally professional manner.
This is the third time I have used his services.  He has done everything from install shades in an entire house to fixing some broken brackets.  I would recommend him to anyone who need blinds or shades put in a house.

Over a few years time, we have replaced all the window treatments in our home and have used Chris Mendenhall with Custom Touch each time and cannot recommend Chris highly enough.  His prices are fair and competitive.  He is experienced and has been in this line of work for many years and knows the window treatment product lines and installation process very well.  His "service after the sale" is superb! He stands behind all his work and has made many "house calls" to help us adjust misaligned blinds.  We highly recommend Chris for all your window treatment needs.

This is our second house the Chris Mendenhall has managed all the blinds for. The first house was a new construction in 2000. He met with me to discuss my concerns for each room (light, privacy, appearance) then showed me samples on options. Since he has been in business for over ten years and keeps on top of all the new technology, Chris was able to show me even better options for our new house this year. This report is on the study. It has two enormous windows and a no view. We went with wood blinds and Chris dropped off swatches for us to choose the color wood. The blinds look great, they are perfectly installed. Chris noticed that our window wasn't exactly straight, but I can't tell so I guess he handled it. In other rooms we've chosen cellular shades, shades that lower from the top, and remote controlled blinds. The remote control blinds over the tub have a control he installed into the wall next to the light switches so we don't have to keep up with the remote!
