Auto Tires
The amp itself was fine, but I have issues with the stereo they installed. It has problems and they are not really interested in dealing with it. I have to call repeatedly to talk with the store manager. No real response other than 'Sorry' about not returning my calls. No follow up at all from him since I expressed my disappointment at no response.
The issue is with the interface to my ipod. The screen where it normally shows what song is playing, etc just freezes. It no longer updates until you unplug the ipod and plug it back in. Then it may work for a while or not. It happens most frequently when the front screen if the stereo is tilted. We agreed this needs to be looked at by pioneer.
He will remove and reinstall the radio (high end pioneer) but it will take about 1 month to be serviced. The guarantee period is only 12 months and 1 month will be in the factory -almost 10%! Not what I expected after spending over 4k with them. No offer of a loaner or to discuss anything faster with the pioneer rep.
In terms of the workmanship, I have no issues with it. My dealings with the technicians who installed the system have been good as well. I feel I got good advice about what speakers to buy and a good amp for my purposes. I enjoy the sound quality and volume of the system.
But the after the sale service is lacking. This is a large part of why I choose someone. When things go wrong or I have issues, I want someone to deal with. These are not the guys I expected.
