ACTUALLY I WAS WRONG. IT GETS WORSE! Brandon Adams, the owner of Central Security came out today to try to program my security system. Here are some highlights of that service call, by Brandon, in my home:
-Brandon said the system could do the functions I requested, by programming it, but he refused to do the system programming. Stating that this is not what we do for our customers. Currently some of the system function appear not to be working properly since Brandon's alleged "service call."
-Brandon said: "YOU KNOW, WE RECORD EVERY WORD YOU SAY - EVERY PHONE CALL, EVERY E-MAIL, ETC." Which is kinda' frightening since they never informed me of this fact and I value my personal privacy.
- Brandon then quizzed me about where I work and how I make my living, which is a major violation of my privacy.
-Brandon told me: " WE WILL NOT BE COMING BACK TO SERVICE YOUR SYSTEM ANY LONGER! (Even though their service contract clearly states this is included in the monthly service/monitoring fee.) He offered to waive the 90 day cancellation part of the contract, but he refused to refund the first and last months service/monitoring fee - even though they have provided services for less than a month!
- FINALLY, AND MOST INSULTING, SINCE IT WAS SAID TO ME BY BRANDON ADAMS, THE OWNER OF CENTRAL SECURITY, IN MY HOME. Brandon said that the whole situation was "Weird" and INSINUATED AND ALMOST DOWNRIGHT STATED THAT I WAS A WEIRD PERSON, j ust because he would not program the system properly!
-I'm a well respected member of my community. I'm a successful small business owner. I'm a former systems manager for two Fortune 100 companies. My friends, family, and neighbors would respectfully disagree with Brandon's assessment!
A WARNING TO ALL ANGIE'S LIST MEMBERS WHO WANT A SECURITY SYSTEM THAT IS PROFESSIONALLY PROGRAMMED AND MONITORED, WHO VALUE THEIR PERSONAL PRIVACY, AND WHO HAVE ANY SELF-RESPECT / DIGNITY AND EXPECT THE SAME FROM A SECURITY SERVICE PROVIDER: STAY AWAY FROM CENTRAL SECURITY!
Central Security cancelled my monitoring and system services after reading my negative review on-line. (They left a voicemail, stating this which is included in this review as a mp3 attachment below so you can hear the owner of Central Security, Brandon Adams say he is terminating services because of my negative on-line review.) They did this late in the evening with only a voicemail notice without giving me any time to respond. Suddenly, my security system started beeping and showing all sorts of program codes in the display. I had to disconnect the power to stop it, so now I have no working security system. The owner states he has given me a full refund, but I'm yet to see it.
UPDATE: Central Security did issue me a full refund today 04/07/14, thanks in-part to my on-line review, but I was without a monitored security system for seven (7) full days due to Central Security abruptly canceling my services due to my negative on-line review. As a footnote, regarding Central Security's response to my review about not being able to make me happy and not being able meet my needs, in spite of the fact that they allegedly used many resources. I had a new security company come out today and they got my system fully functioning to my complete satisfaction - meeting my needs and making me happy: It took one skilled technician, who knew what he was doing, with this new security company, just two (2) hours to get my security system fully functioning and I'm very pleased and happy with the high-quality work done by my new security system provider. I'm glad to be rid of Central Security and am delighted with my new security system company.
"H.'s has been issued a full refund from Central Security. It simply was not possible to make this customer happy. Central Security is a locally owned company who strives to make our customer's happy. Central Security spent over 6 hours with Jim H., and sent out 2 different master technicians on 3 different occasions to Jim H's home. It was not possible for Central Security to meet the needs of Jim H."
Came out again. Installed requested. Seems to be all in order.
"Correspondence Copied From Email of Home Owner and Brandon with Central Security Member – Home Owner. Brandon some missing things from thursday install since my wife could not find the quote paper. 1. I wanted the cellular backup in case wires are cut/internet goes down 2. Another motion detector added to front room/entry 3. The ac/heat device (remote access ability via alarm wireless) which I understand you need to order and bring by to house at somepoint(we install) 4. If you ever get video that can intergrate into alarm system let me know. I would like cameras for outside front and back. Lots of car break in's lately. Otherwise working well. I am assuming it is not on test mode? Thanks again Member, Brandon - Central Security. You will need to call and set another appointment with office 512-610-2698, I will have to charge you $128 the cell back up, the monthly price will increase to $34.99 monthly, the zigbee AC/Heat control is $130, the additional motion will cost $35 and the contract for service will need to be redone. The office is going to want an additional trip charge of $30.00. I wish you at home when the quote was being done or during the installation, or at least informed your wife of what you wanted prior to me doing the install, this is alot of additional work and me having to redo what should be done already, Respectfully submitted, Member – Home Owner it was all on the quote that was HAND written on paper. i figured YOU would have a copy also.noboby EVER confirmed exactly what you were going to do OR exactly what we wanted. I am SORRY for MAKiNG you come out again??? i went with your company because of you customer service reviews. I have not seen that in your very terse reply... Member Brandon – Central Security . I have not corresponded with you since inception, have been dealing with your wife, you have the expectations and know what you want, have several questions still that are unanswered. I just feel that you should have been dealing with me. Can you please be at your home next time I am working on your system. Brandon Central Security - It is not a big deal at all, I am always in your area, but this is lots of additional work,It is a goal to make sure you are taken care of, The 34.99 was original quote for monthly service with cell backup if I remember correctly but also had several other quotes. I will try to find the quote page but it had stuff all over page. We wanted the motion detector in front room which my wife knew about, was recommended, I talked to you about on phone, and was on quote. The ac/heat control she said you did not have with you but could order and bring by at later date? She even texted me when you were there that we wanted it. The AC/Heater control was also on quote but we can just order it ourselves since we install it anyways(no big deal). I am truely sorry if this is an inconvenience. If it is too much to ask maybe we should just part ways and we can use different service to finish installation of other components. Thanks Brandon – Central Security You have a motion and one motion is recommended, the motion you have is mounted upside down, I assume because of your dog. Do you want the other motion mounted upside down as well? Again, it is not a problem to add the equipment you wanted and I have no problem with doing the work but you will need to set up a service call to have the motion and cell back up added on. I never said that this was too much or that I would not do the work, please set appointment with office, 512-610-2698, for this to be finished up as you desire.
