We have a contract with them so it is ongoing service. We pay them every two months. Once or twice we've seen a scorpion and we've called and they came out to give us a free treatment. They do their job. They spray the outside and put the ticket in the door and we pay them; we don't talk to them. We wouldn't have stayed with them if we didn't like them.

They come out every other month to do their work, and our experience with them has been pretty good. I just have them do the outside of my house because I don?t believe in doing the inside. They?ve always come out if there has been a sighting of a bug. We have scorpions down here, and if I sight one, they come out right away and do the extra spray. I can?t keep the scorpions away - I just have to keep attacking them. I think their price of around $80 a visit is about average and is not anything special. They?ve always been here when they have said so; they send me an email ahead of time and say they?re coming on a certain day and they?re there on that day. I would use them again in the future.

I had a good experience until the latest scheduled appointment: I called for a Saturday time, so I could let the exterminator inside for an ant problem. The exterminator never showed; I don't know if this was the fault of Bug Guys HQ or Charlie the exterminator. I was frustrated, because I had wasted my entire Saturday morning. So, I scheduled another appointment for Tuesday at 4:30. The agreement was that the exterminator would show at 4:00 pm, treat the outside and I would arrive at roughly 4:30 to let him inside. I arrive at 4:32 to find no exterminator, but he was kind enough to leave me a bill which clearly stated "4:30 inside service" on it. I have no doubt that Charlie left well before 4:30. I was paying $70 every visit for this? Plus wasting my time (Saturday morning gone, 30 minute drive home kaput), plus losing income from my hourly job. I canceled my subscription that day. Positives: First, Bug Guys employees an excellent exterminator named Xavier; he is punctual, friendly, does the job right, professional, and maintains an excellent attitude. Second, Bug Guys offered to come out and finish the job on the latest botched visit. This wasn't anywhere near an apology or a peace branch - more of a peace twig, but I guess it is worth mentioning.

There's no need to set an appointment, they show up whenever they are in the neighborhood and when they finish they leave a written report. They come quarterly, and if in between there's a problem I can call them if needed.

Initial treatment is spraying the interior and exterior. Future treatments are exterior only, unless you notice a problem inside and notify them. We did notice some bugs inside and called them and they came the next day to spray inside (no additional charge). The spray they use is safe for children and pets. They have always notified me by email when they are coming and have always shown up when they say they will. We have definitely noticed a decrease in the bugs!
