Austin Piano and Furniture Movers

I was looking for a mover to help me move my queen bed, chest of drawers, 12 med/large home depot boxes and small IKEA kitchen table/4 chairs.  Most other movers in town were quoting 2 or 2.5 hours minimum at $125/hr.  Way more cost for what i deemed a small project.  i think other movers don't really want to serve people with small amounts of items to move and prefer larger price points.  I really only needed help with bed and dresser.  My wife was not strong enough and i did not want to bother my friends for help.  I found Frank on Craigslist.  Called and was quoted a very reasonable price 3 days prior to my intended move.  
Frank, Sergio & son.  showed up promptly at time they said they would with truck and trailer in tow.  They loaded up boxes quickly with Dolly (3 boxes at time)  they were very careful with the Fragile boxes.  wrapped up IKEA Bed frame with blankets.  Bed, chest and boxes were strapped inside trailer to prevent movement during transit.  i put some stuff in my truck, we drove from East Austin north to Lakeline Mall area.  They quickly unloaded efficiently and carefully again.  
From time of arrival at old apt. to unload at new apt. took approximately 1 hour.  i could not believe how fast my move took with the help of Austin Piano & Furniture movers!   We paid extra as a tip for the service provided.

It was horrible.  Frank and one other guy -- who smelled of alcohol--showed up with a little rolling dolly,  I had told him on the phone when I scheduled the appointment that there were two interior steps -- he had no ramp or any other equipment to accomodate that.  The piano was too heavy for the two of them and they dropped it -- smashing it through a wall and my leaded glass front door.  The helper broke his hand when they dropped it.  I tried to get Frank to take him to the ER, but he didn't.  He called two other guys to help him, but never took care of his helper.  They got the piano (with a broken edge) to its location, then Frank got out a sharpie marker to try to color in the broken part.  Frank came the next day and patched the wall, but he never returned my calls and texts regarding getting his insurance to cover my front door replacement and piano repair.  The damage caused problems with the sale of my home (the closing was scheduled five days later).  To this day, I have never heard back from Frank Guerra or Austin Piano and Furniture Movers.

 Fernando and his crew started out great.  They came out and loaded my house onto a truck.  They were very friendly and hard working and efficient.  I was so impressed that when Fernando offered to drive my u-haul trucks and help unload the next day in Arlington I was completely on board.  We were scheduled for 10:30 on Saturday.  At 3:30 in the afternoon they had not arrived and completely ignored phone calls and text.  This threw my move into chaos.  I eventually made other arrangements but I was completely disappointed in the lack of professionalism and lack of keeping a committment.

I have used this company twice. Once to pick up a refrigerator and move it to my garage,then later to move the refrigerator into myhouse.
Both deliveries were done the same day I called. Cost was very reasonable.
