"Apparently Mr [Member Name Removed] forgot to mention a couple things 1-We waited 20 minutes for him to show up 2- We Cleaned his Condenser coils 3-Checked his pressures 4-We came out before this and fixed his AC when his house was hot but, It seems He likes to put bad reviews. We did research on this and almost every where he shopped it wasn't to his liking. He never stated the good points."
We recommended SouthTex to our neighbors, who have also used them recently, and we will be using SouthTex again in the future!
A pleasure to work with.
They replaced the evaporator coil in our HVAC unit. Technician was timely and courteous."Thank you, we strive to do the best job possible and save the customers the most we can."
After speaking with other service providers, i have learned that there were far better options for my home than what he chose, that there were problems with the installation that impacted the performance of the controls and that there were systems that not only could have saved more money on electricity, but would have earned rebates that could have saved me as much as $2,000.
I spent a lot of money and cannot depend on my aircondidtioning system to work.
"Member, First off I'm floored by what you wrote about us, I cant believe that you would not include the total situation. So here is my response. #1 We came out 3 times to go over the bid with you, at first you wanted a basic system. As you talked to all your friends they recommended Lennox, but we also bid you Rheem. #2 We registered your Lennox product and sent you the paper work stating your warranty, if any part went out it is covered for 10 yrs by the manufacture. You also had 1 yr labor with us. #3 The thermostats were changed out from Lennox model's to White Rodgers model stast's which are for more user friendly then the Lennox ones. #4 When you called me at 6pm, I showed up at your door at 6:30 pm to fix the problem (which was not mentioned). #5 The downstairs unit is a 4 ton and the upstairs unit is a 3 ton, which is exactly what you had in there before(it was gas and you went to electric) #6 The systems were 16 seer Lennox 2 stage heat and cool units(not cheap) #7 We installed you a rain barrel at your request in which you use the water to water your plants.(at no extra charge) #8 You failed to mention the 2 - 12x24 return grills someone cut in your 3rd floor ceiling to release the heat from the attic area, which in turn brought the hot attic air into the room (130 degree air on a 98 degree day). #9 We had a Sheetrock company call you to cover up those holes at no cost to you and you told them no. #10 When we were doing the job you had a handyman fixing things around your home. You and I walked around the home and I pointed out you had no soffit vents(remember?) And you had them put 3/4 inch holes all around the area to release the air. #11 If your are having problems with your boards and motors or thermostats, that is a indication of power issues-- ie: power surges, old un-grounded wires (1925 home) #12 We have never been notified of any problems with the systems after replacing the thermostats in May 2010, and now hearing about this in July 2011. #13 We do not know who told you the systems were installed incorrectly, but we have many things in place to fix any issue that arises. Since you did have another company, or whoever told you this or diagnosed the so called improper install, Why were we not given the chance to see what they were talking about? #14 We should have been given the opportunity to address this before being slammed by this review, because you know as well as I this would have either been addressed by us or fixed if anything was wrong. #15 You were told by me the day you paid us of the Tax credit which would have been up to $3000 dollars total for both systems, your book keepers should have caught this or asked us what would they need? Which is your receipt and the ARI rating paperwork we gave to you that day. And if it was lost or misplaced we should have received a call and we could have gotten you copies. #16 As i remember coming out to your home many times after telling you to change your filter out, the upstairs one was whistling because it was so dirty. You also told us that your master bedroom was cooler then it has ever been and you also stated that you knew the windows(single pane) and the home had many air leaks. All your windows had condensation on them when ever we were there, because you kept the home below 72 degrees all day. #17 At this point since company "A" came in and put there hands on the unit our Liability is over, but we will not go down like this!! If you wish to contact us and try to resolve the issues feel free to call me directly."
