We were recommended Gary at Payless by our parents, who also had high reviews. Gary came out quickly when their AC system froze into a block of ice right before a vacation, and he was able to replace it at a good price without selling any extra items they didn't need.
Our existing AC/furnace/duct system was almost 19 years old so we obtained 8 quotes before deciding on Payless. Gary's first impression was different than any other AC place we have ever experienced. He was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He wasn't sales-pitchy. We ultimately decided on Payless because we felt we could trust him (1st and foremost), price was competitive (one of the lowest), and Payless offered financing.
Our job was rescheduled because of the rain, but Gary was sure to call us as soon as possible in advance in order to make arrangements. Each day, he and his crew were on time, cleaned up after themselves. He walked through and explained everything to us after the job was finished. He even came back out twice to check on a few of our concerns which ended up being iunrelated to their installation (we unluckily had a plumbing leak in the attic a week after the installation, and also a dead animal in our attic!). Gary was great, he came out to make sure it was nothing to do with the system.
We love our new system. It is quiet, and it blows nice cold air! The only disadvantage is that we had our air grills moved, and Gary's team does not do sheetrock work. We had to hire a handyman for that. But, no big deal.
Payless is trustworthy, has competitive pricing, and does great work. Most importantly, knowing that they would make it right (although, they got it right the first time!) They are our new go-to AC company!

We had some issues with the Thermostat not reading the indoor temperature correctly and Gary took care of this issue very promptly. He has the best crew in the business Deion and Ricky. Both these guys took care of the problem I had with the thermostat. They came on time and stayed till we were confident that we resolved the issue. The problem was not solved in the first attempt. Again, it was not their fault. The builder when installed the a/c system in my house in 2001 never installed the thermostat at proper location which in under the a/c return. So, Ricky and Deoin moved the new thermostat under the a/c return and that solved the problem. These guys NEVER ever complained of anything and tried their best to find a solution.
