Very dissatisfied with work and Carlos Garza (owner). Kept adding charges that for things that should have been included in base quote. Charged extra to tape hinges and drawer guides, to paint closet interiors same color as room walls; was given (3 times) a typed list of all paint colors and where they were to be applied. He didn't follow it and put wrong color on ceilings, then wanted to charge EXTRA to redo it correctly. I paid for 2 coats of paint, put only 1 coat in most areas. This was easy to detect because bare sheetrock shows in numerous areas. Failed to return to do touchup work after scheduled time and after being paid in full for it. Didn't sand between coats when staining trim and cabinets; left cabinets feeling very rough. Then explained, 'that's the way it's supposed to be'. Became necessary to involve carpenter, so he didn't damage cabinets by refusing to use tape guides. Viewed as a cheat and scoundrel, unpleasant to deal with, very argumentative, not anxious to please.
