ALL TEX GENERAL CONTRACTORS

I went with them to purchase bathtub and installation kit.  Took the rest of the day to install the tub, faucet and drain installation. Overnight I had the water turned off. The materials for the walls ended up being more expensive than I had planned on. They said they would be able to install tile at the same cost for labor and it would be cheaper than what we were planning on. I got them the materials and at 4:00 they said they needed to take off. They wanted to do work the next day on 12/23 but I was not going to be home and also would be unavailable from 12/24-12/26 and I said this would not be possible. We scheduled for them to come back on 12/27. They did not show up. I called the company and was told that the boss was unavailable due to sickness and that he was the only person with access to the tools, so no one would be able to come do work. I paid in full for the work on the second day they were here and I have been unable to contact them again. They do not answer when I call from home and when I used another phone to contact them they hung up when they heard my voice. The only work completed for what I’ve spent is the bathtub installation and a ventilation fan.

The porch and patio we had built onto our house took a long time to build. All Tex was hired as the general contractor, they did the construction work and out sourced to sub contractors anything they couldn t do, like the electrical work. This was the biggest problem during the construction; the sub contractors that were hired were having some high turn over with employees. The new employees were not as experienced and their work was mostly poor quality. The sub contractors also held us up a few times, as they didn t have anyone to do the work. The porch did finally get finished but it took a long time with a lot of inconveniences along the way. It was a large porch and patio and in the end it turned out good.

The carpeting and tile flooring were both done extremely well. However, the wood covering for the stairway kept coming off when we walked on it. This became so bad that over half of it had come off completely. Apparently they did not put in enough nails. We called them repeatedly to come back and fix it. It took two months of this, and a call to the Better Business Bureau before they repaired it. They were very rude about the whole affair. I don't believe we will be hiring them in the future.

THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB!

We had All Tex replace our plain siding on the house, & I feel that they did fine work. My only complaint was they only had a contractor on site twice in a week & a half. They also didn't do a final walk through until I requested it. I felt that the workmanship was good; however I felt that they could have tended to my needs in a more professional manner.
