Pasadena Fence Co

Do not recommend Pasadena Fence. Right after they finished we had issues with one of the gates. The guy that came out said that was normal settlement, and we had to fix it ourselves. Five years later it has become obvious that Pasadena fence used very little concrete when installing the posts. This has allowed the fence posts to rot. When we had the owner of the company look at it he said concrete erodes. By that thinking I wouldn’t have a slab under my house. The owner said he would return and replace the worst of the posts. That was a month ago. He won’t answer our calls.

The job went very well. The gate was built and installed within a week.

They did a very good job! They used metal frames on our gates. We're very please with the quality and service after the sale.

They did a good job at a fair price, Juan was very professional.

Really nice work. 3 rails and a 6" beveled rotter board were used. I requested the fence posts be no more than 7' apart since my windstorm insurance policy makes that a requirement.  They complied with the request.  METAL gate frame will insure that the gate NEVER sags.  Very nice!  Really great craftsmanship on all of the cuts and nailing.  New latch on gate is really good because it can be locked very securely from the inside.  The gate has never swung this easily before.  Juan used quick setting concrete which enabled the job to be done in one day.  These guys were nearly $1,000 cheaper than one of the "Special Deals" offered on Angie's List.  I would definitely use them on any future fence project.

The experience was terrible and they were absolutely horrible.  We had to get our fence taken down. They dig hole in our foundation without our authorization. They did real shoddy work.

This project went great!  They came in $1000 under the other estimates and were able to start and complete the work within a few days.  They did a great job and we will use them again.

An man from the fence company came and gave me an estimate last week.  I paid him 1/2 the fence amount for supplies and to help with my finances also.  The work was scheduled to begin at 8am on August 24th.  No one showed up.  So I called, and was told they would arrive at 11am.  At 1:30pm they had not arrived and I called again.  I was told they would be there around 2:30pm.  At 4 they showed up.  I informed them the moment they arrived that they needed to be finished by 6:30 on the dot.  I have an infant who goes to sleep early and putting up fencing is not a quiet job.

     The men started working at 4 and were not close to finished at 6:15 when I went outside to check on them.  I then reminded them they had to leave by 6:30.  The workers on site packed up their equipment and made ready to leave.  The man who had given the estimate, whom I assume to be second in command, called and asked that the men be allowed 15 more minutes to work.  I said NO, that I had made it clear when they showed up that they had to leave by 6:30.  I completely admit to being forceful and somewhat threatening to the foreman on the phone.  I explained that I was sorry they had delays causing them to arrive late but that was out of my control.  I explained that before any tools were used everyone knew 6:30 was the cutoff time.  He kept insisting that a little more time would let them finish.  I reexplained the word NO and offered to call the police and make a trespassing complaint if his men were not off my property by 6:35. 

     I then got a call from the owner, Dennis.  He assured me that no customer has ever acted as I did ever before and couldn't they just work until 7?  I told him that because he was the owner, if he gave me his word they would finish at 7 I would allow it, but not a minute more.  By then his crew was packed and it made sense to return today.

     This morning his crew did return around 9am to find the first rainstorm we've had here in months drenching my yard.  They left to finish a job where it wasn't raining, eat lunch, and come back to finish the job.

     The work is done with nails, when it should be done with screws.  The gate to the driveway is now much larger than before and when it swings it hits my car when parked in the driveway.  It also only opens to 90 degrees, and not 180 as before.
I would never hire this company again and will recommend against them to my friends, neighbors, and anyone who mentions the word fence.
