The supervisor did a wonderful job, in my opinion, of working with my insurance adjuster in order to meet my needs and also meet the criteria of my provider so that I felt the least strain in my pocket. Communication was excellent. Crew at my home was respectful and attentive to my needs, kept sheet rock damage to a minimum and cleaned up after themselves.

Task include excavation under slab on two side of the house.  Work was completed as discussed and have not had any issues with either pipe system since.

The plumbers showed up as expected on a Tuesday and pointed out items that needed to be corrected to pass the City Inspection required before the gas company could turn the gas on.  Bascially, I had to bring an old house gas system up to the current code, since it had been off for an extended time.  I was able to get the issues fixed; and the plumbers set up the pressure test on Wednesday for the City Inspection.  I do wish the plumbers had previously mentioned one item that they did not mention until they were pressure testing.  Sure enough the City Iinspector okayed the pressure test, but pointed out a water heater vent problem (which the plumbers had not mentioned until that morning) and red tagged me.  However, I was able to get the issue fixed the same day and got approval (green tag) the next day.  And I was able to get the gas turned on Friday.  Josh, the supervisor back at the Modern Plumbing office, was very helpful in getting things done, helpful with advice & materials, and helpful coordinating with the City Inspector.  The plumbers that I dealt with were professional, knowledgeable and helpful.
I did have to make a partial payment for the inspection; but it was credited to the final bill!

Eight years ago Modern Plumbing installed a gas pipe for a newly installed whole house gas generator; tying it directly to the gas meter output.

Today the gas company came by to replace the feeder pipe to my house. When done, they went to turn on the gas only to notify me that I lacked a 1/4and quot; backpressure test opening. This must have been removed when the addition was made 8 years ago.

The only thing that came to mind was to call Modern Plumbing. I reached Donald. I explained the situation. He looked up my account. Without hesitation, he dispatched two technicians who arrived within two hours and corrected the issue. Five hours after the gas was turned off, it is now on again.

Modern Plumbing assumed responsibility and got 'er done! I did not know what response I would receive after eight years, long after any warranty expired. This response was my hope; but not expected. And no charge! I will again do business with Modern Plumbing.

I definitely will recommend staying away from Modern Plumbing. They did a good job @ a reasonable
price for my daughter, several months ago, and I recommended they come look
@ my neighbors problem. Donald Martin of Modern Plumbing said they could come
out, look and do an estimate for $116.50, and if they got the job, that would go
toward the total bill. Their estimate was $1000 for the job, which I found
outrageous. My guess was that the job was in the $300 range. I called the
dispatcher this morning, asking why the high estimate, and he said Donald Martin
would return my call, and explain. I never heard from them.
The neighbor had Roto-Rooter Plumbing come do the job: total cost: $275.

I don't appreciate my recommendation sticking it to a english-challenged neighbor, and really don't
appreciate them not returning my call.

They were prompt, they came out pretty quick to do the work. I would highly recommend them.

Our new sink looks nice. I have not found any leaks or anything from the sink or the pipes that they put in. When they put the new stuff in the house, they got it all in and the water back on in just three hours.

They did very good work!

They did the job as quickly and neatly as possible considering the fact that they had to tunnel under the house and dig a trench across my backyard. They also did a few little things inside that were not really mentioned in the contract but were appreciated. Donald Martin, the service manager, was very cooperative and considerate.

CALLED THEM IN THE MORNING BECAUSE TOILETS WERE BACKING UP AND THEY WERE THERE WITHIN A COUPLE OF HOURS. THEY UNCLOGGED THE LINES AND I'VE HAD NO PROBLEMS SINCE. THEY ALSO CHECKED A COUPLE OF OTHER THINGS BEFORE THEY LEFT AND FIXED THEM. VERY PROFESSIONAL AND A JOB WELL DONE.
