No matter how good the quote is and how hardworking he says he is to get the job, save yourself the headache, hassle, and wasted time and go with someone else. Our 2-day, $2600 fencing project took over a week. But that's just the start. Jonathan didn't show up on time, or at all, some days. He left for the day without notice, leaving our yard littered with his tools, trash, nails, etc. that we picked up and put away for him. Materials should have cost $1300, but after being paid $2000, he continued to ask for more money for materials because, and I quote, he had "other business expenses." We fired him after the 7th day, knowing we would have to pay someone else to fix ALL of the issues (like pickets with 1 nail in them to hold them in place, overall shoddy work), but he came back begging to finish the job for the remaining $600, even if it "cost him in the end." We let him finish, and the fence is in good shape, but now he's texting, trying to get $600 more than we agreed on!
