John and his crew are very professional and they pay attention to detail. John is knowledgeable and he shoots straight. I am very pleased with the work they did because my house is much cooler and the AC cycles now!

Everything went great and as planned. The crew showed up on time and worked hard to finish in a timely manner. They were very courteous and well supervised, and cleaned up each day when done. Would definitely hire again.

We realized too late the magnitude of a rodent problem in our recently purchased house's attic. There was no turning back. We found Houston Insulation Specialists on Angie's list and gave them a call, spoke with John H. the owner and set up a time and date for him to come to our house and give us an estimate. he arrived on time and checked out our attic and give us what i thought was a fair price. There was never any high pressure sales tactics. he set up at date and time and Jorn and his crew arrived on time and proceeded to get the job done. Seldom do you see the owner on the job working in tandem with his crew they were very professional and worked well together. the finished in about the time he projected and cleaned up very well. we were already seeing the temperature in the house going down before they left. Cobra Barriers is the best company for this kind of work. John Henry, the owner, gave me an honest estimate well below other competitors on Angie's List. He provided 3 estimates based on the type of barrier material. He showed up on time on the date he said. Very responsive via phone or text. He includes a free attic tent (which NO ONE ELSE DOES about a $200-$300 extra by other companies). Also, he topped off my insulation. Overall, it was a great experience and my upstairs is much cooler.

I have actually had to turn up my thermostat upstairs as it's so much cooler.

It went great! They came on time, installed insulation quickly, and the insulation works.

I had submitted a quote on thumbtack about about two weeks ago. John is very responsive. Very transparent. Very thorough. We had scheduled for an in home consultation and he worked around my husbands my schedule. 
He offered all options and knew that we are price conscious (newly weds and just purchased a house). There's a few things I thought I NEEDED but John is honest is honest ENOUGH to simply say- no, that is not what you nee-. I wouldn't spend the money on that when what you really need is soffit vents and additional insulation. 
Very responsive to all questions, berry accommodating to my schedule. And as a female, whether or not you have a male Present, he didn't talk down to me. He didn't up sell me he just explained what was happening and what needed to be done. I, being the time of person I am, did my due diligence as an informed consumer and quickly realized he was person and company I wanted to move forwarded with. He is a family owned business and I promise you has the best cost. 

Oh... And industry standard seems to be A One year warranty on the work performed- John has a two year warranty. Within a few hours as noticed a huge difference In our house and how much more comfortable It has felt. I have already recommended his services to my friends and will be spreading the word on my neighborhood. I cannot stress a enough how picky and particular I am about the professionals I choose to work on my home. I made the great choice. 

Ohhh how I forgot this- on the original quote he notified me would I needed x amount of Materials for the job. When time came To pay, he told me the amount of the materials needed for job was less because less materials were required. We all know, as consumers, that he could have as easily just never told me me id have never known.

This speaks to a mans integrity and business ethics. Furthermore, with many service companies they send a sales person who quotes the job, and then a crew shows up to complete it. John was there every step of The way. In the future we may have to utilize his services for a rental property- and trust me, hands down, I will call him and his crew without hesitation. Save yourself the time quoting out other companies , I already did, and he was about 50-60% less in cost and provides a better Product.
