Jerry is a no nonsense person who takes a lot of pride in his work. While he is not the friendliest person in the world, you are not paying him to be your friend, and his workmanship is of the highest quality. There was a code violation with brother Richard's electrical work which my husband found. Be sure to check behind Richard. Jerry seemed surprised at brother Richard's error & immediately had him correct it. However, the brick mason Jerry contracted the brick work out to, was an excellent craftsman & we were very impressed with his brick work. Jerry's paint job on the new doors was absolutely beautiful even though he was less than thrilled about using oil based paint. He also did an excellent job on the shelves in the master bedroom closet. Jerry doesn't talk a lot. Be prepared to do most of the talking yourself. We had to call or fax him to get him to mail us his bid for the job, to order the door, to schedule the work, and to find out how he wanted to settle payment.

We found out about Gerry Heitzman through friends of ours who used his services and they were very happy with his work. We are also happy with it. He uses word of mouth for advertising. This is all the Heitzman brothers seem to need because Gerry is a perfectionist. The rest of the house was closed off while doing the work to avoid dust and dirt form getting all over the place. The work is done exactly the way we wanted, and we are glad we hired them.
