Carpet World
About us
Carpet World is a full service, locally owned floor covering sales and installation company. We take pride in specifying the right product for each installation whether it's a small powder room or a large commercial building. Residential sales are our mainstay, but we also have a commercial/industrial division which specializes in hard contract sales such as the chemical plants and refineries along the Houston Ship Channel. We have one of the largest and most well equipped showrooms in the Houston area and we work with builders, contractors, interior designers, and homeowners. We are proud to say that our installation technicians have been with us as long as 24 years and our sales staff each has between 30 to 40 years in exclusive floor covering sales. We work all over the greater Houston Metro area, serving Pasadena, Deer Park, Clear Lake, Friendswood, League City and surrounding communities.

The floor was not completely floated/leveled before the wood floors were installed and the floor does not lay evenly.
The service that our sales associate gave us was terrific upfront but the way the flooring has broke down I would have thought they would have taken care of me as I am a customer that has referred business to them as well as a past client to the store.
"[Member name removed] bought an inexpensive patterned carpet which was installed in April 2009. In late May 2009, she complained about a seam that was visible. We sent an installer out on June 1, 2009 to look at it. At that time it was determined that there was a sidematch (factory defect) in the carpet. A 12 x 37 replacement piece was ordered and installed at our expense. Evidently, that solved the problem, as we heard nothing else about it. Shortly thereafter, we heard from her regarding a wood trim she was not happy with. We ordered a replacement piece on 8/4/09 and installed it for her at no charge. That is the only complaint that we heard about the wood installation to date. In August, she complained about an area that had a ripple in it of approximately 1x1' in size. A claim was filed and an independent inspector was sent to her house. Visual and chemical testing revealed that some sort of oily substance had been spilled on the carpet well after the installation and that the homeowner had attempted to clean it up. The chemical had damaged the texture of the carpet and had eaten through the latex and the secondary backing causing the carpet to delaminate. The report, from JM Inspection Services is on file, if anyone would like to view it. Obviously, a chemical spill of this nature is not covered under any mfr warranties, so this claim was denied. So.....we have heard from [member name removed] three times. Two of those times the problem was taken care of immediately with no questions asked. The third time was declined because of a spill that occurred at her house of a caustic chemical that was not covered under any warranty. We have not heard from her since then, but if she has any warranty related issues we will be glad to address them!!!"
moved and replaced all the furniture in the house. They were extremely careful not to damage anything when going through doorways or at any time during the installation. Great company! Should the opportunity arise, I will definitely use them again.
