The experience was horrible. I took my 1999 Cadillac Deville to them due to overheating issues. I was more than willing to pay any appropriate costs in order to get the issued taken care of. They informed me that I needed a water pump replaced, and that would correct the problem. The cost was reasonable, so I let them fix it. It didn't take long, maybe a day, for them to fix my car. When I went to pick it up, they informed me that it was not overheating any more. It takes me literally 4 minutes to get from their shop to my house and guess what, within that time, the temperature began to rise again. I took it back and they charged to have a hose replaced and stated this would take care of the issue, no overheating, and there was nothing else wrong with the car. I asked several times to check every area and I would pay, I just want to know everything that is wrong with my car so it could be in good condition. They charged for this service, stated that this would fix the problem and nothing else was wrong with the car...no head gasket issues, engine looks good...that's what they said. I found myself taking my car back to the shop for a third time because not only was the temperature still going up as well as the engine light own, but it now made a high pitched noise. I forgot to mention, after the second visit, I had a delayed response trying to start my car because of them...never ever had this issue before them. They informed me that the piece that was replaced was not on correct and charged us again to have this taken care of. They also "changed" my radiator out and wasnt supposed to, so they had to go in and undo this. After all this and over $1100 worth of work, two weeks later, my car totally shut down on me and would not start at all. I had to tow it to another repair shop because I refused to take it back to CJ's, and learned that the head gasket had blown. I wasted all this time and money with CJ's. I would have respected them more had they said from the beginning that they do not specialize in Cadillacs. I will never go there again!
They got back to me the next day and gave me an estimate for the work. I told them to go ahead and repair it, and that I wasn't in any big hurry, just when they got it finished to let me know. On Thursday, Sept. 12 they called and said it was ready. I asked what the charge ended up being, and it was actually a little less than the estimate. I picked it up the next day.
When I drove it home, I realized that the AC wasn't working. My husband took it back and they checked it out and discovered a valve leaking. They repaired it while my husband waited.
We have used CJ's several times in the past year or so, and they are always fair and reasonable. They don't try to overcharge or rip you off.
